I was just outside and there was nothing going on. Came inside, sat behind my computer, look outside and IT'S SNOWING!!! Don't know if it's going to be anything, but I'll keep you posted!

its snowing and blowing pretty bad down here in Ranchester. Roads are closed Sheridan - Kaycee and Buffalo - Gillette

Wow, they closed the roads?! It's been snowing here all day (well, since I posted that it started this morning), and it's coming down pretty good! It doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon!!!!

cold

just got off the hill. when we loaded up at bearlodge it was -17 on the truck. Roads were wind blown but not to bad few inches of new snow, starting to look better every time i go up.:D

We got half a foot for sure, closer to a foot, just today. Lots of powder guys!!!! It got cold, around 0, I'm looking at about 4 degrees right now. Let's see what tomorrow brings....... :-)

Is it worth driving 10 hrs to come out sledding this week? Or should I wait till after the first of the year?

I'm not sure, I guess it depends on what you're looking for. We have a good base and now at least a foot of fresh powder on top of it. But not all the rocks are covered yet. Higher up there's even more snow. If you don't mind the cold (it's supposed to stay cold most of the week) it may be worth the drive. If you would be local here, or only had a drive of a few hours, I would definitely say "yes, come up".... but with a 10-hour drive..... If you only have one chance to come up, now or early next year, I would probably wait.

I know it's not much, but I hope this helps!
Corine.

-16 in gillette right now im gona go throw some additive in my cummins.... the fords are dieing left and right on the interstate..

Funny you would say that. I just went to Sheridan and back, I saw a Ford pulling a Dodge into town. Then two Fords, three Chevy's, one Dodge, and a semi all sitting along the road. Time to add the anti-gel to the tank, yep, yep, yep...

Man it is cold today. Showing -12 right now, we have a slight wind.

Was up Saturday with the new sled...cold all day at 10-12 with temps dropping into the -5 to -15 by 3. Klim gear is amazing!! Snow building but still need more base. Every time I've been up there unloading in the morning low and behold some parking lot racer with only his joe cool shades:cool: and no helmet or gear is WFO in the ditch South side of Burgess parking area. Anybody know who the douche was that tried one upping every other PLR and trying to climb the telephone pole in front of the lodge....?:eek::beer;:beer;:beer;
