big thanks to all who put this on it was well done!!!!!!!!!!

Product Tester thanks for hauling up north with the rest of the Utah crew,Thanks to all competetors and hard core Fans that came to the event and hucked it out:D Cheers Red Dog.

Frickin cold, no climbs but we still had a great time! Will be back next year to see some serious climbin going on!! Thanks boys!!

Thanks for the pics....please post more. I was too cold to take out my camera sitting at the top of the hill all day! My face has a combination of sunburn and frostburn and my body is still hurting from riding the moguls on the way out!

There was some good carnage late in the day by the hamburger stand from people that decided to climb on the ice even though they should not be doing it. A buddy of mine got some good pics of the carnage that I will try to post later.

It was good meeting all the fellow SnoWesters this weekend!! Congrats to all the competitors. Some crazy fast sleds there!

Little Orange Cat....it's too bad you had a false start....I think that two smoke twin of yours could have done well against all the 4 stokers. Very impressive!

Already looking forward to next years BDSO!!

(Please do not forget the Callaghan Protest Ride on May 17th....COME OUT AND PROTECT YOUR RIDING AREAS.......we need numbers to make a difference)

i'm gonna soil the water here. Sorry. our group had fun, always do. Linc and all, thanks for all the effort. Bummer about the grooming, my back and my bent steering post are reminders (not kidding about the post!). no biggie there though. Again, thanks for making what you could out of a tough weather situation. Gotta to ride a couple turbo's and definitely enjoyed that! Thanks Gordon! :D

My big beotch though - some FU&*ER hit my Dmax in the parking lot and didn't even leave note. Not a huge dent, but it aint gonna be cheap. Who the hell does that? Maybe they didn't notice, but still pretty upsetting to get the crap beat out of you on the trail and then find a dent in your truck, and no note. BS.

I'll be back next year, but if i find the guy that did it - he'll be missing some teeth.

not trying to hyjack, but im heading up on friday (even though conditions dont appear to be ideal). anyhow, just currious how far up the road at rutherford we can take our 32ft m/h pulling a 4 place???any chance it will be groomed????ya i know WISHFULL THINKING

I think I was most impressed with the cat. That thing was fast man!!!!! Also Mclaren's apex is faster than it should be, pretty cool. Too bad Busat's sled blew the carbs off on one of the final runs, would have been cool to see a sled that old win it!!! All of the final 6 or so sleds were pretty tight though, great display of power!!!

So I'm kinda new to this snomobile drag racing but there's something I can't figure out . Maybe someone who was involved in the event can explain to me why they felt the need to keep making the course shorter and shorter (and please don't give me some b/s answer about the ruts at the starting line). Never before have I seen this. I thought that the orange M1000 turbo was clearly the fastest sled sled on the hill for the course. It clearly was not the fastest off the line at anytime during the day but would makeup ground and take the win at the original course length, so the ruts at the starting line excuse isn't gonna cut it!!!

My racing background is 1/4 cars and they're lots of different setups. Some cars have faster short times and less mph. Some have slower short times and make bigger top end mph.

Never once have I seen event coordinators change the length of the track!!!
Never once have I seen off road course organizers regrade a track during the race because somebodys truck wasn't setup to handle the big jumps.

Maybe others didn't see it the same way but in my opinion the orange turbo M1000 could have taken the win had the organizers of the race not changed the track so that the other sleds could compete.

Just how I saw it

So what did happen to the groomer?

So anyone know what exactly did happen with the grooming situation? Hopefully if the groomer was paid he will return the money since it did not look like it was ever groomed throughout the day. I am actually surprised nobody pissed on the groomer when they got to the trail head.

Still fun but I am hoping the organizers did not get ripped off on the grooming and can put that money to keeping the areas open.

First of all I will give some props to paul and shawn for puting safety first and not running the hillclimbs. Real pro move not allowing the decision to be made by some drunk on a rev that wanted it in the worst way! LOL

Also, I was told the groomer broke down and as a result the money that was suposed to go to the groomer was donated to help keep our mountains open, 10,000.00 dollars worth. Rite on!! Sh!ty trail ride but at least our money went to a great cause.

I was on a Impulse turbo nitro, it had nos and was running around 23lbs of boost, man it worked awsome. Paul and Franklin from impulse were there and when I had a prob with my drag sled they offered me their nitro! Man what a ride that thing was! Thanks alot guys. Easy to win on the fastest sled there.

Lots of fast guys there blah blah blah. There was ALOT of great guys there!!! Had a wicked time hanging out with all the boys, the racing is fun but the event is awsome!!! I'm sure most people that were there will agree. I had a smile on my face the whole weekend, who wins?.... everyone wins.

Cheers Mike.

P.S I dont think the town of whistler has served so many trays of pink drinks!! Lmao ( Render the spender ) Got cash..... haha

Was up today, only one up from the Rutherford and 8 people came up from Brandywine, the trail is groomed nice, unfortunatly a little on the late side. It is still cool but no wind so good riding condtions. I didn't see one piece of garbage so thanks to everyone who backed thier garbage out and to the clean up crew.

First off it is because of the ruts and it was explained to "ALL" the competitors.

So I wasn't close enough to hear the explanation. But it must have sounded something like this: Well all the sleds we sponsered don't seem to have enough power to stay ahead of the orange M1000 for the full length so maybe we need to shorten the track. Ruts? Yeah ruts. Sounds good lets say it the ruts.

Oh sorry eh. Thats not the one everyone got to hear

stonehands, in general forms here go and look at the post, pics and vid of bigdawg, on the last page mm 700 put up a vid watch it at 2m45sec you will see the cat get left behind when he was ahead. Go complain somewhere else, the races were run fair.

Hope this works

GOT FALSE START

I didn't even seen that FALSE start until the vid...We saw another one later on and and that is why they re-raced the same group.

Summitseeker and I said to LOC up top when he came over to us wondering why he was eliminate that we didn't see the 2nd false start...now I know what the peeps down below were talking about.
**** my filmer never got that one that sucks i wish i would of seen that before i said i didnt jump but wheres the flager in this vid i cant see him

can't help but jump in, but you've got to love outlaw races when bragging rights are involved, and you think you got the flag man fiqured out, when the flag is dropped or raised, or was it a nervous twitch. hehe.

Sounds like the races were very cool, wish I was there....Spent the weekend getting ready for our first race of the year in boise...:)

To end all the false start and who is the fastest BS why don't you guys get some clocks?? We had them when we would test stuff so there was never a doubt of who or what was fastest...Pretty much ends all the BS when you have a time slip in your hands....Numbers don't lie...

The clocks are not all that expencive either....Just a thought..:face-icon-small-win
