what ever you do, buy it through your dealer. have htem instal it ! If they won't do it, find another dealer that will. If YOU do it, and YOu break, bend, crack, tweak the tunnle in any way, you just totaled YOUR sled and all warranties are off.
Why did you buy a new sled? Probubly to have a trouble free machine. Why ruin your safteynet because the bords don't clean out as good as your friends sled that he took a cut off too. IMO, the bords are fine stock.

Just looking to get some input from those that have used either. I like the idea of the WRP board acting as a stiffiner for more tunnel strenght but some claim the tunnel may possibly crack.
Do you have personal experience with a warranty issue with a dealer after installing aftermarket boards, or are you just talking out of your... well you know!?? You need to spell check bud.
IMHO the Airframes look strong, but using screws for traction seems like a hillbilly approach... no disrespect to any hillbilly's intended! LOL

Sorry about the spelling.i use my droid x cell phone alot and it is hard to get everything purfect. I am having warranty issues with my boards as we speak and they are stock. Both are bent and one is broken and cracked. Along with the chain case....
Can you elaborate? I'm confused by your statement that the stock boards are fine, when your's are FUBAR'd. ????
Thanks
Bag

The OP was asking about cut out style boards. They all will void a warranty, you are cutting the factory tunnel with all of them...even if your dealer cuts it. Air Frames $465, Better Boards $225, WRP for a Pro ?
I have been running Better boards for the past 4 seasons without any issues. The boards have provided great traction and the black coating does not hold snow like raw aluminum does. They have been used by many guys on this forum without damaging the tunnel, including doing big cliff drops. I've put on a few pounds over the years and decided to upgrade to the heavy duty Better Boards and Better Bars this year. Installing the bars were one of the easiest upgrades I've done. Drilled out the five rivets and removed the four bolts (per side) holding the factory bars and then reversed the procedure by installing the four bolts and five rivets. The new HD Boards have also been upgraded since the originals. They have lower raised cleats so your boots aren't above the side rails, allowing use of the rail traction on the bars. They also just riveted back in place where the previous boards were mounted. I can't comment on personal experience with WRP boards, but I know there are many more guys running BB's than WRP because the flat out work.

I purchased some WRP boards but sent them back and went with Better Boards. I didn't like idea of putting rivets throughout he side of the tunnel, the clearance to the track is very tight.
