Bets On What Tomorrow Will Bring

Lets have a little fun with this and see who or how many come close. Im going out on a limb and saying more horse power with a different motor or design of what we got. Plus five more minor things.

How about a pro with a fst power plant? Had a Polaris guy tell me at a snow show that package is capable of much more than they have bean getting out of it?

I'll say BNG. (And possibly some other small minor changes)

Im not sure if there will be any other changes besides BNG.

My guess too, but I am hoping for more power. However, the 2005 900 is still in the back of my mind. I remember swinging by the sled shop picking up a BOX of belts for 3 900s for a weekend. And the crank issues, recalls, blah blah blah. I think it would be tough for me to buy a first year motor....

I am thinking along the same lines as you.
New Motor (Has me a little nervous)
New Kill Switch Location (You can tell from the shadow pic)
Maybe a heavier duty bumper?
Different shock package

Anyone else curious as to how much testing they have on these? Seems like they could easily "disguise" the changes that were made. I wonder if they were testing last year, specifically the belt drive and the theoretical new motor.

I'm sure

new graphics
same motor (If they change it, more $$$ for the belts)
Another "new spark plug" only for a 2013 sled lol
10-15 lbs less in weight
MSRP $12899 with no discount for zip ties.

I am just pissed cause I got a 2012 PRO 800 3 weeks ago...... :whip:

Honestly, I'd be surprised if there are motor changes unless it's something aimed at increased efficiency. Polaris seems to have caught on that while horsepower is cool, it's not worth anything if it's not reliable and delivered efficiently (belt drive). Plus, it costs a LOT to design a motor. If the one they've got now is competitive and not costing them millions in warranty work, they'll ride it out and squeeze more profit out of it before a new one comes out.

JMO...

I think they will retract the belt drive because everyone is whining that the belt will break, there is no tensioner, the brake is on the wrong shaft, there is no guard.

bng, new handlebar controls, 10 pounds lighter. The stuff they have done is way more than you usually get out of the lifetime of the chassis, let alone one that is two seasons old. No new motor. Could just hear all the second guessing if they came with a new motor.

The belt thing is funny. The only thing that I have seen brake these belts are 7000 plus horse power dragsters ! They will be great on a sled. Like turboless terry said we are getting alot already.
