Best Women's Sled????

No- on the Phazer unless she just wants to trail ride. They are comfy but feel really heavy off the trail, just not real usable in the mountains.

From personal experience a Dragon 700, M6-M7 (my choice in years past), couldn't ride the Doos (too much upper body input needed.) Pro chassis if you can swing it.

Not being able to reach the throttle comes from technique, once you get her riding more correctly the bars don't get that far away from your body.

Good luck in your search!

Really. OP asked about a mountain sled for a rider that had trouble with an 08 RMK. A MH is easier to ride and goes everywhere an RMK will.

If you don't like riding a horse, don't. They aren't everyone's cup of tea, and that is ok.

My advise stands.

No offense meant. I do have a MH and after only 2 rides I love it, but you gotta admit that riding a MH means you first gotta be proficient with a dirt bike.
The OPs wife's sounds like she may be more of a beginner rider. If she's not and wants to rail a mh that's awesome. And he also said not super expensive and I don't think you can get into a good mh setup that's not beat up for less than $8-9k.
My advice stand as well. May as well call them opinions. We all have one!
Cheers..... And yes 10' of snow would solve all our problems!

I am trying to figure out what would be the best sled to get my wife. I was looking at the Yamaha Phazer MTX, not looking for a super expensive sled but It needs to be a mountain sled. She has ridden an 08 Polaris RMK and had issues being able to be on one side and still reaching the throttle or brake any help would be appreciated.

Whichever one best matches whatever outfit she picked out, because if it doesn't you're gonna hear her b*tch and moan about it the whole season :D

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say maybe to the phazzer. I got my gf an 09 mtx and she really enjoys it. Electric start, easy to steer, linear power. She rode quads and the instant she saw it she said "it looks just like a quad". That said when we ride she mostly just bashes meadows and kinda just chugs along at the bottom of the hill. Definitely not for the steap and deep.

I would have to thing a new M6000 would be an awesome sled. I do not know a lady where does not like the ergos of the proclimbs. They don't have to stretch for the bars, boondock position is very neutral and requires little input and that little 6000 has gobs of power.

That sled was on my list for my gf as well. She really liked it but I just didn't want to spend that kinda money on her first sled. The one thing that was amazing was how easy it was to pull start. I asked if it actually had the plugs in it on the first pull.

600 Pro seems to be the perfect sled for my wife. Had to add electric start because there was no way she could start it by herself.
