fourcast II is great. big chutes, big airs and kieth curtis tearing it up
This might hurt for some film makers but here's my two cents..
Honestly, I'm consistantly disapointed with sled films. They are a few years behind ski and snowboard films. Too many stationary camera shots. Go Pro shots facing the rider are entertaining for 2 seconds, most go pro footage in general. Most music is pretty bad, nickle bag like crap. Slowmo and timelasp, we get it already. And unless your throwing huge whips I don't want to see you hitting any man-made jumps, doing dorky FMX tricks from 10 years ago, freestyle is dead, don't remind us. Let see the good stuff, dudes going hard, taking risks and generally not giving a F with some good camera work that gives us the viewer a unique view.
And that's what I really think...
Crazy where these films have come from over the last few years.
3-5 years ago it was nothing but hill climbing, chute slaying, hilicoptoer shooting madness.
Now it's a bunch of nancy's boondocking through the lilly's and jumping back and forth over their sleds when doing the side hill action. (I will say the crazy SOB's that are bailing off 100' drops are just nuts) But over all not to impressed with any of them this year.
And one more blast. Where in the heLL do they get the music. Nothing worse then your ears bleeding at the end of the video from the head banging punk stuff.
I am sure it won't sell but I want to see big HP, climbing, crazy stuff, a few drops, some boondocking, and a mix.
One of the films I watched this year (no name needed) was nothing but boondocking and catching a sled cross infront of a bunch of trees as it goes out of site.
Sorry just not a great year.
I also like the rider bio's and sled details. Tell me what ya got.
(other than a polaris pro)

Martin I'm going to have to totally disagree with you on this one, pulling tight tree lines and being able to hop from one side of the sled to the other while still holding your composure to make that one line is what its about. A lot of people can point there sled and go, not as many can ride there sled like a mtn bike and bang off trees on a steep azz slope going where ever they want with ease. Tree riding "nancy" style is technical as it gets, and to me more fun than pounding a hill or building a jump for 2hrs to go 50ft. But then again we all have different riding styles and thats why some people still ride kitty kats....
Brad, I don't care. You know as well as I do we see this kind of boondocking tree riding every weekend. I see normal every day back country riders every weekend. If i lived in the flat lands back east I would say "cool video" but to me I don't like any of them this year. (I will say the team 57 video was pretty good) just because it was a bit more old school. go big or go home. I don't want to watch what every tom, dick and harry can do. I want to see the "holy crap that was *ucking NUTS" type of stuff.
don't want to ruffle to many feathers but the old school thunderstuck, Krazy Canadian, etc, were killer videos.
Now I am not saying that all the things you listed arn't fun. because they are a blast. But it's things I do and our group does every weekend. So show me something new, show me the awesome mountains of other areas.
And again I don't need to see the chris brandt cross over move in 10 different videos. Once a year is enough IMO.
