Best shocks

Air shocks must be getting better. Alot of dirt bikes come stock with air shocks, and the new Arctic cat comes with Evols stock as well.

I haven't seen dirt bikes with coil overs yet! I'm pretty sure the air shocks on moto bikes are all about lightweight.

Yeah it's true no bikes have coil overs up front. Although they do have coil overs in the rear. But the old style had springs inside the forks. Now it's a similar air setup to the evols.
The only point I was trying to make is air shocks must be getting better. Motocross bikes are pretty hard on air forks and they seem to be holding up.

If you follow moto close most riders hate air forks, and most company's are switching back to spring forks in 2017.

None here, staying that way too. If im buying shocks, ill choose to go raptor or exit.

I know fox makes good shocks, they just give me a bad taste. Fogged up my goggles too many times waiting for guys to get done playing with their pumps.

I like to spin spanners...

For those commenting above about the Fox Air shocks... what models and what year are you commenting about. (sincere question).

I've ridden them all... not a bad one in the bunch IMO.

.

My history of using Fox Floats has been a good one... never blew a seal, and once dialed in, I didn't mess with air settings unless I wanted to change something about the handling... and at that point, I was glad that I had such an easy way to change things up.

Fox offers coil spring shocks as well.. in many different configurations.

Jake at Raptor builds excellent shocks as do the Zollinger boys at EXIT... I have yet to hear any bad luck stories from riders of those shocks. I was impressed with both on the snow.

I'm looking for new shocks for the front of my Axys. I have to say that I'm on the fence myself. It might come down to who can offer the best price. My choices are (in no order)...
-Exit X1's
-Raptors
-Fox QSR3-R

What's the best pricing people are seeing on these shocks?

I would stay with exits or raptors if you really wanna go high end run the raptors. Pm me my buddy has store and gets good deals on both. So far his prices have been very competitive. I've ran both, my axys has full exits and Zbroz 36" and doo full k mod and raptors

I have not ridden a sled with Raptors installed, but I can tell you that my 16 Axys with Exit X1's up front is like a dream sled man...I never understood why people spent money on aftermarket shocks until I put the X1's on my sled last year! It's like a whole different sled through the mashed up meadows and trails...I did the rear shocks about a week ago and cannot wait to get it on the snow to see what the rears do:) Save some money and go Exits is what I'm telling you;)

I've ran float evol r's and raptors on my pros and axys since 2011.

First thing is I never see myself going back to an air shock. I was constantly fiddling around trying to get my pressure right, which is not fun when it is 10 degrees out: chiseling ice off of the valve caps, then trying to turn them with numb hands, screwing on the air pump, reversing the procedure to install, then do that to another three shocks. Not fun. Doing it once, maybe not so bad, but it seems that every time I would really work these shocks they would lose air. I also see this on my mountain bike air shock after a day at the bike park.

Fast forward to my first set of Raptor Shocks in 2014. The build specs are impressive: 100% billet, 5/8" shafts, etc. (you can look these up), but the performance day in and day out are what is really impressive. I set the sag on day one, played with the clicker the first couple times out, and didn't touch them for two years. They are now on another SW member's sled after a little freshening up. They soak up the little bumps, and are there for the large hits with the use of triple rate springs and progressive valving.

I ordered four new shocks for my axys with the Kmod 37" front end. The first ride I took this year has some g-outs in the trail, and I was nothing short of grinning ear to ear as I blitzed them as fast as I could letting the Raptors do the work.

To answer your question, basing my answer on performance, quality, and customer service, I don't know how you can get better than Raptor.
