best riding state

STARTING ON WENDSDAY Canada will be the place to ride !!!!!! as the reed /palosi closings will start,,,,, I think california#2( Colorado )will be the first to fall!!!!!

AK

Depending on how far north you go!!!!! Alaska! I moved up from Montana and it had some good mountain riding but it was limited to certain parts of the state.

Washington is nice, a little crowded in the snow parks but it's warmer than AK and they have groomed trails to the mountains which is nice.

California is actually pretty good...a lot better than I expected. There's definitely a lot of hostility towards snowmachiners, especially in multi use snow parks but the riding is worth it. Make sure you can adjust to elevation...I was struggling to breath constantly at 8K'.

The interior of Alaska is mediocre at best. Our average winter temp is -18F...the majority of our riding season has only 5-6 hours of daylight...we drive 2.5 hours to the mountains...1 way...it rarely snows and when it does it's 6 inches or less. South central AK is much better...larger crowds and smaller riding areas but more snow and warmer temps. Valdez IS heaven on earth.

Stewart, BC is the best riding you'll find south of Valdez. You could ride there your whole life and not see the entire area, it snows enough to cover houses...at sea level. The town population is around 500...obviously not a lot of competition for first tracks. Low elevation riding (most below 7K' means more HP out of your sled)

I have a hard time believing that it gets much better then utah for TONS of fluffy powder. From my house there are 6-8 riding areas within a hour.

Forgive Rixster. I think he may be confused with Alaska. The riding here in Utah is horrible. Snow is super heavy, no open land areas to ride and everybody in this state hates snowmobilers. Stay away, PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Rixster is right Utah is the promised land for snow in the US, I wish every day that I could move back there.
Beverly Hills likes snowmobiles and has complimentary valet parking. If I could get through all the deep snow we have here in Idaho I would go there.

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSShhhhhhhhhhh!:D

I've ridden in quite a few different state's and places. I'll tell ya what, Utah has the best snow I've ever ridden in. It's like riding in a pillow case full of feathers. The stuff is so light, dry, and fluffy, just totally unreal...:face-icon-small-win

Utah is by far the best! I've never ridden there but only because I haven't mastered Montana snow yet. Yep, I'd say Utah
