Best proven way to increase HP or performance on M8 2009 Need info

What after market performance needed for M8 2009? To add Hp to keep up with Polaris and ski-doo. What is the best clutching for the M8? And still keep sled reliable.

09 M8

The 09 M8 will not need a thing to out do those 2 sled and it will prove it when snow flys next year. But they do like a single with can and a torsion clutch kit.

So youre saying I shouldnt turn the track around for deep powder?

If you want to make it run like the new Polaris 800, detune it about 5% and remove torque over the entire powerband.......good recent hop up dyno tests on the 800 polaris trying pipes, if they run ok, they have good clutching cause they have weak motors. Their old 800 is better hp and torque throughout the power band. DYNO TECH testing for Polaris dealer in late March, check it out.

Should be no problem in stock trim but if you are looking for more hp add a y pipe and single pipe!

Set your sights a little higher than stock Polaris and doo’s…turbo it! Boondocker has a new pump gas turbo kit for that sled. Bret Rasmussen raced one at Jackson Hole last weekend. :D

The RKT head is a good start on the M8, porting also is a strong addition. The torsional conversion is very noticeable difference on the 8 like MM said.

I'd like to see the RKT 900 setup to see how that compares, I'm thinking of stepping back to an 800 next year for a more freestyle sled, I'd like the 900 to be part of that setup, we'll see.
