hey guys i wanna know where is the best place to ride within 3 hours of south vancouver/ Langley area. I NEED good powder and hills.

thanks for help.:beer;

were is there to go, before squamish and is it any good?:beer;

At the base off the Chief you can go up the MAMQUAM FSR and around 9km up there is a trail off to the left not well marked but easy ride up and one hard pull at the top puts you onto the Mamquam Icefields. Bunch of nice bowls. you won't be dissapointed. As well in Squamish there is the ELAHO/
SQUAMISH R/ ASHLU FSR that gives you a back entrence into Brandywine and a few other areas.

here is a link to some roads in that area and if you look them up on a backroad topo map book you can figure out awhole bunch of great riding areas.:D:D http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/dsq/Engineering/RoadInformation.htm

slightly further then the coq is honeymoon...its about 15km north of merrit on the 2 lane that takes to you spences bridge....a bit of a ride in but worth the trip...most times id rather ride there then on the coq

i also forgot to mention whipsaw...its between hope princeton, about 15 min before princeton...coming from the lower mainland, just after the old mine at the bottom of the hill on the corner u turn left onto the whipsaw forest service road...not as much for big climbs but good snow and lots of meadow and tree riding, lots of fun play areas

Don't forget the Paysayten valley area- Trapper Lake/ Border lake the fsr is just past eastgate of Manning park .... Nice, not many people make the trip here however.

do you ride up at eastgate? ive heard its great riding but along ways in...also where is trapper lake, and boarder lake? same area as eastgate? you guys just unload on that side road right off the highway just before eastgate? any info would be great im always looking for new areas

AHH Man. I gotta go shoppin on boxing day. Need to control the wifes spending LOL Or I would SOO be there. Bralorne is just awesome. Best, largest riding area I have been in. Miles and Miles of untracked POW. If you do find some people, just drop over to a different range and theres fresh snow

BUT, thankfully my wife hated Valentines day. SOO, I AM planning a trip that weekend. If anyones interested, feel free to join. Supposed to be 3 or 4 guys from 100 Mile going as of yet.

You could ride for a week and not see all of lone goat. We did the same thing last year. Stayed in Gold Bridge at the Gold Dust hotel, Tyax lake isn't too far away. We went to Brailorne and rode out of there one day. It wasn't as good tho because it was completely socked in and I took a header and took the bars in the ribs(broke a couple) So we just rode from Gold Bridge after that.

Ya i think we will ride around Tyax allot but i wanna get out to lonegoat for sure...and any other good areas...were about 5 min away from the tyax lodge, slightly off topic is that lodge a good place to party at night?
