best place to ride (close to vancouver, BC)

Tyax lodge

Tyax lodge is a pretty cool place (largest log structure in Canada?), with a great bar, but it depends on the crowd that's there for heliskiing - generally Euro's. The staff are freindly. Check out Taylor and Eldorado basin for some cool riding -watch the terrain in there though, some sketchy slopes that can slide big. Probably get some snow condition info from the lodge?

stay away from Bralorne .. its too dangerous with slides nearly every day

the terrain in braelorne / gold bridge is massive read the snowest article on riding areas it was in a fairly rescent issue I believe going up with nunuexpress and foxtail boxingday here are some photos from last years trip I think they are are all from lone goat it was to socked in the day we went up to braelorne.

hey carpenter those pics look deadly....i hope there is enough snow up there for the holidays this year...im going up christmas eve, will definatly be riding boxing day and the following few days, never been up there before but we know a couple local guys who know the way around, im sure we will ride lone goat ....staying about 5 min down the road from tyax lodge, i think there will be 3 in our group maybe 4, gonna try and hit as many areas as we can

So my dumb *** brother had his first ride out today. He and a buddy picked there way up Brandywine made it up through all the rocks, had a great day up in the sunshine up in the summit banged up and down some shoots and then........................................... cranked in to a rock, broke everything in the front end and now needs a new tunnel and 4 new a-arms.
