Best lightweight battery for a Nytro?

sounds nice, but i still think just plugging into the cig lighter could work?
should just be simple ground / +12v leads into the cig lighter?

for simple "charging" i don't see why it can't work?

hell, they have those jump start deals for cars that plug in to cig lighter of a vehicle? "no opening the hood (or side panel)!"

Cigarette plug is probably only good for 10 Amps. I would have to check the manual. The problem is how do you control the amps, as it is a function of the two voltages. You could replace the fuse with a larger one. That way you can see how a snowmobile turns into a toaster, and then a fireball. Remember that fuses are only there to protect the wires, that is it! They are sized according to the wire used.

I found a battery on ebay for $42.00 plus $15.00 shipping. Its says it has 200 cold cranking amps, I might give it a try, I might get one for my wifes 2004 summit rev also.

I ordered a YUASA YTZ7s battery today, $150 from my local dealer. A little pricey, but considering the cost/weight savings, it seemed like a wise choice. Turns out, I needed a battery for my Kodiak ATV ($100), same battery that came stock in the FX Nytro, so I'm really only out $50 since I'm just gonna throw the Nytro battery in the ATV and put the 7s in the sled. Works for me ! :D
