Best Helmet?

It's time for a helmet upgrade this season, what's everyone using and enjoying?

I'm eyeing the Klim helmet but want to make sure I'm not passing over any other good options.

Need something with a good breath box as I have a tendency to fog pretty bad.

Suggestions? I buy a helmet every five or ten years so I don't mind buying a good one :)

O'neal and 509 are some other options.

I ended up going with the 509- granted I haven't been able to use it yet but it seems like a nice helmet (very comfy and light) and their goggles fit so well with it I don't think I'm going to have to use my breath deflector.

wyrider has had his o'neal for 3-4 years now and he has no complaints about it. :)

I got a One Industries Kombat helmet. Haven't worn it snowmobiling yet but the little I have wore it I really like it. It's comfortable and fairly light. It has good breathability and it looks pretty sweet too. :D

I tried on a ton of different helmets this year. The fit/feel I liked the best was the 509 helmet; it was the most comfortable! I haven't used it in the snow yet, but trying it on it felt the best at the snow shows.

I have the new FLY RACING F2 Carbon coming! I checked them out at the WPS dealer meetings and super sweet. They are fresh from DOT and SNELL inspection and super cool kevlar/carbon fiber combo. Very reasonable at about $259ish for this kind of technology and feel. Replacing my Oneil 906 which was cool and a good lid but one of the most uncomfortable liners going.

Red/black combo to match my buggy! Kind of fired up about it.

All good suggestions! I've been very happy with my Klim helmet for the last few seasons. I use it all year long and has held up very well. The venting is fantastic! Use it for dirt, snow and supermoto. Keep in mind they are somewhat of a narrow fitting helmet although they have improved upon this.
The best thing you could do is get to a dealer where you can try some of those on. The Thor superlight is just like the name says and ECE approved. Very good helmets. You will be seeing more of this rating poping up in the near future.
The Fly and OneIndustries are good quality helmets too. Also worth looking at are Bell, Scorpion, and TroyLee Designs. Bell has a snow kit available for the Moto 8. Scorpion has one for their MX helmet and Troylee has something in the works. Most helmets you can fit a breath box into though for fogging and warmth issues.
Good luck on your quest.

Thor Carbon for me also, very light and very very comfortable, I also like Arai helmets as well

I wear a 661 carbon fiber. I love it. Have had it for 2 years now. Its also my dual purpose dh mountain bike helmet so it has been worn heavily and has yet to show signs of wear and tear.

I got the klim helmet last year. I love the venting in it, it does a great job preventing me from overheating. It was very narrow and required skinnier cheek pads. The liner pads also tend to unsnap from time to time putting it on. It is nice that they come out easily for washing, just not so easy.

I like my full face ski-doo bv2s. Its warm and does not fog for me. Amber drop down visor is nice when the sun is brite.

Really glad to see some diversity in peoples favorites, I was afraid it may be a Klim bandwagon :) (for good reason it sounds though)

I haven't tried on a carbon fiber helmet yet, looks like I'm headed to the spokane snowshow to try on helmets!

Thanks again everyone who chimed in, I wouldn't have found all the options alone.

Arai helmets are the best. They are the Ferrari of helmets. One of the lightest helmets on the market and the most comfortable. You pay for what you get. If you want 100.00 protection then buy a hundred dollar helmet. I have had multiple concussions. Money shouldnt be an object when protecting your head. Arai is my choice. I have also had Shoei helmets which are great as well, just not quite as comfortable. good luck.
