best deep pow track for the assault

i just bought an assault this summer so i havent even ridden it yet but i have been doing some reading on the track and some guys love it and some say its horrible in the deep. so if this winter i find it to be a poor performing track in the colorado deep what woudl be a better option? a challnger extreme 2.5?? thanks guys

If you do the 2.5"... I'd go with a Drop and Roll on that sukka...

alright. is there a better option without drop and roll?? i looked on tracks usa and it looked like that was about the only other option for the deep. is the correct? would the 2.5 work without the drop and roll but it woudl just work better with it?

Put a 153 powerclaw on that thing and it will make a huge difference. By the way my buddies brother bought a new assualt and in the steep and deep the stock track sucked!!! The stock 700 dragons could outclimb it easily when the snow was deep.

ya i keep hearing super good things about those powerclaws. but then i would need a new skid wouldnt i? the reason i bought the assault and not a dragon is cuz im from mn but just spending the winter in colorado so the 146in wiht like a cobra track would still work in mn. so i think i wanna keep it a 146

I'm sure you could make it work somehow, it's only 2.5 inches.

my 141 is the best all around sled I've owned yet. (no trails)

you think that a 141 powerclaw would fit the 146 rails?? with the axle way forward. has anyone done that?? and thanks for the heads up mt horse!! that is a good option. the 5.1 series a good track?
