Best bolt on invention ever!!!!!!!!

tilalead.jpg

if only they could figure out how to unbolt that head...

And all this time I thought the Hotdogger was the best invention ever!!!

nope, This is :D;)
You guys make very valid points and those of you that keep an open mind, Thanks.
Its hard to see how well these work unless you see it in person. They are not hard on your back. I watched a 14 year old kid reach down and pick the sled up with no problem. We should have some footage pretty soon of these handles being used. Hopefully you guys will see how good they work.
Thanks, Lynn

I can where a guy would be going with this. Having more places to grab isn't a bad idea in and of itself.

That said, my cat has some pretty good handles "built in" to the rails. (Example) They are usually either full of ice/packed snow or buried in such a way that I have no desire to reach in and grab them.

Now, on the other hand:

I think a better idea would be a bumper that slides out and extends 2 ft or so out. That way you have much more leaverage lifting the sled out. Then just slide it back in stock place, insert quick pin and ride away.

I can see this being a good idea if it could be done in such a way that the extra leverage didn't bend things on you.

My invention? I'm going to put finger guards on my rear bumper so that my fingers don't get frackin' pinched between the snowflap and the bumper.

And these cocky friggin' doo riders talking about not getting stuck. Well of course ya ain't gettin' stuck. Yer too busy replacin' rings and fixing pinecone damage instead of actually riding!

;)

And the band wagon says, this is not worth pursuing.

Whoever said "I use a high lift jack to get unstuck" is crazy. Roll it, or dont get stuck, or tow a trailer with an airbag lifting system and a compressor and shop lift and a....

Don't knock it till you tried it

You can see these handles installed on the sled in the show room over at Tri-City polaris in woodcross Utah. If any one is in that area. They will be selling these also.
Thanks, Lynn

The first thing I thought of after seeing this is that you have a tunnel and foot boards.
You would have to reach inside the tunnel. and when you lift, your arms would be at an angle and the boards will dig in to the side of your arms.

I wouldn't buy them. If I ever need to lift the track, I have these big paddles on my track, right at the very back also.;)

It's actually a Highlifter jack for sleds not a Highlift jack that you use on your tractor, those handles probably will work great for that ditch deep snow in Iowa.:beer;

I added a link with a video on the fist post. Because of the lack of snow here in Utah the video is not the best but it gives you an idea.
thanks for looking.

hasn't anyone ever heard of a shovel? besides rolling your sled, this is the best invention to get a sled unstuck.

So many I have rode with think I am crazy to roll my sled out of a stick. Watch and learn. Takes 5 minutes, little effort, and your back riding. Ride with enough different people you start to see what works. A jack? maybe when I am 60.

Not knocking the product Utah theres a market for it, wouldn't call it the best bolt on. Scratchers got that. Then again, my turbo is bolt on.:D

I can pretty much guarantee you'll be using one long before you hit 60.......;)

Turbo

I would have to agree that the best bolt on mod ever would be a turbo, or maybe a gasoline engine inside a small compartment powering a big as track straigt up the hill. That was a good bolt on mod. Who thought of that one?

good idea i guess, but when i stick my sled good luck finding the rails, you'd have to dig down 4-5 feet... unless its in a real steep bad situation rolling your sled is hands down the easiest and fastest way to get sleds unstuck...

And this can be done by just one person ! But if this is something that helps someone great, good luck in trying to market this .Thats the big secret not finding a good product.
