best bars on a pro

Iam looking to put a new set of bars on my 14 pro and was going to just get the new 15 td bars but was curious about the cheetah factory racing boondocker 2.0 bars and also the burandt rsi's iam 5'8 so I need the shorter bars if anyone could chime in with any helpful info it would be greatly appreciated!

Lower the better. I'm 5'8" and went with the rsi burandt bars. Best improvement I made. Also leave the mountain bar off and ride without it.

I am 5'6" and the Dan adams bars are nice, they are 2 " shorter then stock. You can also try the backcountry bend from rsi. That bar will need different clamps as it is fatter then stock in thr middle but tapper out. I also heard that skins makes a sweet TI low bar,not sure of price. And also.heard fly was a new low bar out this year

Put the mountain bar down low for kids to hang on to.

Thats all its good for.

TD bars are going to be almost exactly the same height as RSI burandt and Nxt lvl bars. All 3 are supposedly right around 2" lower than stock pro tapers.

I really like the RSi backcountry bar with no riser. Its about 4" lower than stock and feels perfect. That is what I would recommend if you can find one. Or a RSI flat bar with a 3-4" riser would be similar...

Can't speak directly but 2 of my buddy's just installed the CFR boondockers, rode them last weekend and really like them. That was on Cat's tho.

Finally a good use for the mountain strap. I was trying to figure out how I could set it up for my kids to hang on to. I love that idea. How did you do it though?

I leave on the mountain strap... and I also agree that when riding...it is a handicap if you use it.

BUT... I like it on there when I'm stuck or need a good handhold on the sled.

I'm only an "OK" rider...but ride with plenty of people that can "hang" with anyone out there.. and they also use their mountain strap when they need an extra handhold on the sled.

.

plenty of uses for the mountain bar, crawling on a sidehill in hard pack when your not able to get up on one ski is just one of many. guess you have to be a better rider to know how and when to use one;) find it funny when one of the big name riders says its not cool to use one and the heard follows...

back in the 90's we'd add a mtn bar to our sleds. typically held on with hose clamps :) even back then i always hated it; why do i "need" it going one direction and not the other???? ive always made an effort to not use it, and a few years ago (2008??) quit putting one on my sled. nothing to do with anyone else.

Sorry to stray from the topic. What kind of interesting McGyver type thing you have going on with your gauge area?

Headlight delete,

Heated glove box/ gauge relocate.

Swings away to allow access thru the gauge hole.

The mountain bar is held on by allthread thru the tee post.
Little angle brackets on each side.

Best part is easy removal when riding alone.

No matter how hard the snow.
There is never a time when its not better to be on edge.
Flat ski'ing it on hardpack is for beginners......;)

Jes sayin......

Cheetah Bars for me. Boondocker 2.0.
My personal set up is 5" riser so I am just a hair taller than stock, But I am also 6'4" tall. Love the set up.

You can get any size riser you want for the cheetah bars.

thats a nice looking setup how long did it take to get used to the finger throttle ?

the aftermarket bars seem to be mostly 10 deg. pull or 13 deg.
what is the stock PT 0 deg. ?
