A group of us are coming down to the Cascade area this coming week. Can anyone tell me where some of the real good riding areas are in cascade? We would be looking for some areas that have good boon-docking and hillclimbing as well as open meadows. Thanks for the help!

where to ride?
Go to http://www.snowmobilemccall.net/mccall-idaho-trail-maps.html and down load south map. It shows the area around the Lake. From Anderson Cr. go up to the top and to the north is the "Lady Bug" play area, go everywhere there. Climbing, boondocking, lots of tracks though. Or go south down the ridge to Snowbank Mtn and the bowls on the side of it. If you want some more good riding go north out of McCall and Donnelly too.

lady bug is great. if you want powder go to the council side past the warming hut. hillclimb spots are 44 but it gets tracked up. great riding up in cascade.

Just came south from 3 days of absolute blue bird in McCall. Not epic deep snow but still top stuff when you factor the weather. Go high and get into the trees or go far and head up to the lakes like we did. FUN! The beaten path is all done in but there are thousands and thousands of acres of good stuff. You just have to get off the trail and look. We rode way out off warren wagon on sunday. NOT A SOLE IN SIGHT and it was actually quite excellent. Trail could be referred to as silky butter. World's record from Twenty Mile Canyon to the parking lot. Great weekend in McCall.
