Best affordable lightweight can for 850 Matryx?

This is probably a thread topic similar to, "which oil is best?" but I have to ask.

I don't want to spend $600+ on a can like from RPM or Diamond-S, and I'm really, really tired of how loud my Sled Shed Cooker Thing is. It sounds great but it's just too loud. And I never use the cooker, although I thought I would. After 400 miles with it, I want something quieter but lighter than stock.

Suggestions?

My GGB Trail cans have always been just fine.
Nice safe sound that friends can triangulate from a distance if needed, and not too obnoxious.

I only switched to support a manufacturer producing near where I live. (WY/ID).

But I slightly miss the GGB sound.

X2 on GGB and HPS. Had 2 HPS and currently have a GGB. Good sounding, shed weight and cost around 300-400.

Slp is very slightly quieter than HPS for less money.

Loudest
HPS is deeper tone
SLP is higher pitch.
Ti diamond S is high pitch.
Quietest

Agreed the GGB is garbage.

I'm currently leaning towards SLP. I bought a GGB for my SxS a few years ago and it was just loud enough to be annoying. And I've had it for sale off and on for two years and only get lowballers.

BUT.. I'll keep listening and see what other suggestions come along. I found a place that gives 10% off for veterans on the SLP so that's a plus, and no sales tax.

Is this their quiet can, but with the cooker bracket? Was thinking of getting that plus the cooker, so I can not use it just like I did with the current can. :)

Yes its the quiet 1, I have it and have no complaints. I love the cooker option. You Gotta branch out from sandwiches. I have reheated roast beef with yorkshire pudding and gravey, ribs, buritoes, ham and perogees, wings, stew, hamburger soup.... the list goes on

Awesome, thanks. I tried to pull the trigger and discovered they wanted $55 to ship it.. that killed the deal.

Well I found out SLP can actually get it for me cheaper. Waiting to hear if they offer a veteran discount.

Yes sledding is expensive but I'm in a bit of a financial drought right now. If it was a bit better I wouldn't have posted this thread and would have ordered the RPM and been done with it.

$55 for shipping seems a bit steep, but we probably get a false sense on shipping cost because of the big companies that wrap it into their prices, and can negotiate better rates because of their volume. Maybe you can get it to you for cheaper from denniskirk.com or the likes? I wish I could get SLP's cooker can for my sled, but my hot pot works fine, and the stock can on a Pro isn't heavy. When the days are short but the snow is good, I usually leave the gourmet stuff for another time, but the cooker is great to have for spring riding. It's hard to break away from the convenience of sandwiches, leftover pizza, and that sort of thing; worth the try when you have the time, but any warm food tastes so much better when you're hungry.

A good buddy of mine cooks shrimp and crab in his. Nothin beats a hot lunch on a cold day.
