bent tunnel extension

I recently baught a edge w/ a bent tunnel extension. I believe I can straighten it but it'll probably be weaker where it was bent. So I'm thinking of adding some side braces to reinforce the sides. Hopefully theres a gas rack or tunnel rack that bolts on the side that would reinforce the sides plus add the gas rack option. Any suggestions? pics?

You are on the right track. There are nice rear bumper packages out there that extend well onto the main chassis for side strength. Aluminum angle stock can be fabricated to reinforce the top side. Get creative, build your own rack or seek the aftermarket. Invest in a pnuematic rivet gun, for sure. Sky's the limit. And do not overload it in the future. PS: Don't drill through the heat exchangers.
