belts

Ok, I will see what the people on this forum has to say.....I sold 2 belts on here a lil while ago, one was new, one was used. I sold them for 75 bucks shipped. The guy got them and says they are both used up?? The one was in the trunk, and 1 was on the sled. I called the person I bought the sled from and he said for sure the one was new. I returned the guys 75 bucks in good faith. Now he wants me to pay to have them shipped back to me???? Im just looking for some input from other members on this issue. Guy says im in the wrong for misinterpreted my listing and wont send them back unless I pay for return shipping.

So every one knows I'm that guy I put his add at the top in the belt section I never buy used belts I only bought to get the new one but when they came there were two used belts in the box not what I thought I bought.though he did give my money back I do not feel obligated to pay shipping of any sort.I have since been accused of maybe there was a new belt and I'm just going to keep them. I'm sorry I do not operate that way.

Um I sent them to you for 75, only seems fair for you to send me back the belts for the money I returned to you...........I dont see what the problem is???

seems fair~ why should he be out the shipping if it was not what was represented? which you have admitted by refunding the initial payment~ so just stand the shipping and next time be careful how you are advertising an item~

The shipping was already returned to him!!

So, if he paid you 75 bucks and you sent 75 bucks back, then yes, you refunded his shipping (to ship the item to him). So now if he is expected to send the belts back, then the shipping (back to you) should be paid by you if the item was misrepresented. IMO

No...it was not misinterpreted. .........I like how I get p.m's from people on this saying the shipping has been refunded..........I did my part.....guess I shouldnt have refunded a dime.........

Its pretty easy math......75.00 shipped.....it cost me roughly 13.00 to send the belts to him, so he got the belts for 62.00, and I refunded the full 75.00. Dont see a problem with him returning them????

No...it was not misinterpreted.

Whether it was misrepresented or not, is obviously something that has to be worked out between the 2 of you. I can't take one side or the other on that one because I haven't seen the belts or the description. This is all assuming that the belts are "not as described" as the buyer alleges.

It IS pretty easy math.

Using your numbers:
$62.00 Cost of belts
$13.00 Cost to ship belts (to buyer)
$13.00 Cost to ship belts (back to seller)
$88.00 Total

Again, this is all off the assumption that the belts were not described correctly, which is between the buyer and seller to agree on.

Again, all IMO

Ok i have seen the belts, 1 was was pretty worn and has heat checks all around it. The other 1 was used but not as bad.

So if a guy is to send a used belt well ok. but if it was said that one was new, it should be NEW.

Belts

Its always a gamble, I purchased a advertised 159 track on here. Payed for the track and shipping. When the track arrived it was a 151, The seller told me it was not his fault he was told it was a 159 and he would only return my money if I payed to ship the track back. Soo I payed to get the track to my house, Then payed to ship the track back and I still had no track.
