The stock set up seems to build a fair amount of heat. I saw 50-60 degrees when riding deep snow in Blue River. Working on a multi-angle helix/ spring combo that will reduce temps and rpm fade on long pulls.

The rental I had needed a new belt at 500 miles also. All of a sudden it was down 500 rpm and almost felt like it was bogging. It looked fine but I put the spare on anyway and it was back to 8100 rpm.

I’m on belt number 4 in 1800km. First one made it 700km and was dropping down to 7600rpm and very poor bottom end. Second belt exploded into 100 pieces after 400km. 3rd belt made it 700km again dropping down rpm and poor bottom end. Clutches are so hot can’t touch them for 5-10min after. Always cleaned every few rides. So much for their new sealed clutch compartment with “air flow”.

My riding buddy just had a belt come apart at 600km.

I'm 100% stock clutching besides a 135-325 primary spring. Buddy has stock low elevation brp clutching. I also don't think the sealed vent panel works good. Was thinking of drilling a few big holes in the back plate around the secondary.

Find this very interesting as my 2022 Gen4 Expert 165 Turbo R has 940 miles (1512 km) on the original belt with no issues. Clutches and belt have been cleaned every three or four rides. High Altitude set up with clickers set on #3.

Maybe the extra power of the 2023 is harder on belts, could be clutching or just proper maintenance.

Time will tell.

Had a stage 3 tuned 2020.5 turbo original belt still on the sled when I sold it at 1700 miles.

300ish miles on mine so far. Cleaned clutches/belt when it was new (covered in oil) and cleaned the belt compartment exhaust screen twice. No issues otherwise.

I see many on the you tube having belt issues also. First year R&D guinea pigs! As the free rider said the quality control has been lacking on the new machines. His 850t ate reeds at 700 km...
If you allow the sled to hit the rev limiter as it will from the factory, I can't see how you won't have problems.

I think some of that is pilot err. Had mine start backfiring in wyoming. If you let that happen too much it will take your reeds out.
