Belt drive

C3 looks like it fits into are existing inner chain case is that correct?
How many different ratios do you have?
I am running a 19/43 now what would that equate to your system?
Can you explain why it would give me more top end?
Thanks Jim

Yes fits right in. You could run 23/53=2.30 or 24/53=2.21. I would run 2.21 which would still give you a little more bottom end fell than you have now. It gives you more bottom end and top end because of less rolling resistance and rotational mass. We have seen 5-7mph top end increase using the same gear ratio.

Would this have any effect on engine warranty? I know it "shouldn't" but Polaris has been really crappy about warranty on sleds with mods(even ones that don't have engine mods.)

BTW, this really throws a wrench in my plans to snowcheck a 13. I like the C3 system better than the belt drive on the 13. Belt looks thinner and lighter but is still strong. I really like that I can change ratios. I really like that it has a tensioner. I really like that I don't lose $3-4000 trading in my perfectly running 12 with the mods I have already done like air frames and 3 years left on my warranty. I have like 3 days to make up my mind. Sheet!

That's what i would do! Keep the 12 and put that money into mods!!!!

I was going through the same thing but decided to keep my '12 and put the C3 belt drive on it. I have airframes and a rsi seat cover on my '12 already. For the $3000-4000 hit I'll take selling my '12 to upgrade to a '13 is just not worth it when a C3 belt drive is only $900, which in turn you can turn around and sell for $500 or more when you sell your '12. What I mean by this is take the belt drive off and sell it separate and put the chaincase back on when you sell your '12 in the future. 45 min and chaincase is back on if you have warranty concerns. Which would be a BS way to deny an engine warranty anyway by Polaris. I got a warranty denied on a D8 cause I took hood foam off and replaced it with heat tape, so ya never know with Poo...

I understand why everyone is doing it. I Thought about it myself. The thing everyone is forgetting is that all these mods don't add to the price of your sled. They are just give me stuff when you go to sell. If you want a belt drive, I think you are better to just order a 13. It has all the stuff and is 1-2 years newer when you sell it so obviously it is worth way more money. I thought about saving money that would cost to upgrade and do raptors, cmx front end and some other miscellaneous stuff but I am ordering a 13. Keeping the 12 and the 11 turbo is down the road. I will keep the 12 for one more year. Any modding will go on the 13.
I Guess I don't get the tensioner and gear change thing. I haven't changed gears in years. The only ones I know of changing gears are the cat people trying to find a miracle cure for their belt problems. How many changed their gears on their pros? I believe c3 said 4 pound savings and the polaris is 6.5. It is america, so everyone can do what they want but I can't believe anyone wanting a belt drive wouldn't get the 13.

I hear ya. The 13, for me, is the first legitimate sled that doesn't need anything to have a good time. I am going to build a lightweight tree sled so the turbo is going down the road. It hasn't been an epic year here either so the lightweight tree sled might be pretty close to a stock 13 unless things change.

I wish I made enought to pay 80K in taxes!!loL!,,,OH wait I did pay 80k and got to keep 10K now I just need 3k to by a new 13 what to do what to do eat or get a new sled Hummmmm!!!
