since the motors the same and I have my suspension dialed on my 11 I think since we could sell our low milage 11 for mabe 7K and I think were looking at probably 12K out the door for a 13 ,,I think Im going to order the CMX drive and skinz boards and call it good JMO

I would still like to see a stock 2012 Pro vs 2012 Pro with belt drive in a side by side performance comparison. Thinking the same thing though, just put a couple upgrades on my '12 (shocks and belt drive).

Yes I will see if its even doable ,,but when I look at the pics it looks like the whole mag side plate is different ,,or mabe they made a casting that bolts to the original chain case mounts, would like to see one in person!!

If you look closely at the pics you can see that it is a bearing / brake mount plate that replaces the chain case. It is the same CtoC so all you have to do is purchase the upgrade kit. Note still won't fit a 3" lug with 3" Pitch without dropping to the 7 tooth driver. Stock Polaris parts will likely be cheaper than the aftermarket offerings if you aren't planning on running the 3" lug. My hope is the after market will bring a bearing plate for the 75T or the 80T belt.

Looks like you could machine the stock gear case off and use sealed bearings, but that would be to easy I bet polaris will change the shaft ends so we cant do that!!!

The Brake is the problem; in it's outboard location on the 11's &12's the brake spline is outboard of the sprocket spline. One more thing to consider before committing to it.

I wonder what the world would look like if a guy wanted to gear it down. I will bet a cup of coffee that it will be geared too tall for the NW....

My thoughts exactly. Until they upgrade the motor, I see no reason to get excited about the 2013's (certainly not enuff to have the entire first page of this forum as a "sticky" - come on Eric!).

Have FUN!

I think that the changes are awesome, I'm just not gonna pull the trigger on one. Nicer for sure, but it's hard to justify spending any more money when my sleds are 1 and 2 years old.

the other thing is the time/work to change to the cmx B drive
i did a D/R on my edge a few years back it was a job for sure and took tools some don't own
of course it pretty fun wrenching/tricking your ride:face-icon-small-ton
will be interesting to see what of the new upgrades will optional add ons

I contacted C3 at the beginning of the year. I busted my small gear last year and had some chaincase issues. They told me they had the belt drive for the XP and were working on the Pro. I have checked back a few times and haven't seen anything. I wonder if the 2013 Pro will convince them to NOT make a belt drive for the 2011/2012 (unless they already have). I think Polaris will have a retrofit kit at some point for the 2011/2012.

same shaft

I bet polaris will change the shaft ends so we cant do that!!!

The 11/12 driveshaft WILL work with the belt drive..

I'm sure that parts/prices/ delivery of these will not be available till after the Production 2013's are ALL out the door in Roseau though.

It will be a pretty easy job to swap this out though.

So it looks like a new bearing/shaft holder plate, both gears, 2 sealed bearings, new jack shaft? What about the brake rotor??

I thought the 2013 had all new driveshaft? was lighter and longer?
