BDX Pro Lite rear bumper kit?

The tunnel edges are sold separate. You could go 3 different ways to support your running board: buy 09-10 arctic cat parts, BDX rear gussets, or the VE tunnel edges. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

I had the BDX and it was a POS! After a had to install all new cooling lines in the tunnel, i went with the 09 set-up and like it way better. WAY WAY WAY stronger and better flap too!

I think you had the kit before the update,

Look at the bdx kit compared to a 09. the bumper on the 09 runs through the kick up, the bdx stops at the kickup and the only thing holding the bumper on is the thin a$$ tunnel. the update is a plate that goes on the inside of the tunnel to reinforce it, havent seen one break with update. But I like the stock 09 setup better.

As has been said, it's ALL in how you install it & that picture says it all. Admittedly, it is pretty easy to screw it up if you're not thinking about the strength the whole time, but if you paid close attention to the way you cut the tunnel it came out a lot stronger. It's not by accident that 73goliath & I have seen a ton of them with no problems at all.

if you know what your doing the bdx kit is by far the best bang for the buck, if you like to be able to say i installed it in 10 minutes i guess the ve bumper is for you:) have had mine on for 2 seasons and not a problem, the updates imo fixed any issues. love bdx's stuff, top quality and they don't make you pay a mint...

10 minutes, really?????

What tail light/flap do you use? What rear cooler is that?
I'm going for the same setup on my 08 M8 BD PG...:) And wonder if I'm going to use the 09 light/flap...

Great pictures of your project. What rear cooler are you running in the last picture.
Thanks kakscat

07 to 09 Bumper conversion

Those of you that have put the 09 style bumper on your pre-09 M-series... what did you do for the snow flap/tail light? I am using the factory cat bumper and edge rails and was planning on cutting my tunnel to fit the bumper. But I'm not sure what to do for the flap/light. I didn't really want to spend the money for the 09 factory stuff. So... any suggestions would be great. Pics would be very helpful too.

Thanks,
Boone

bdx

so ive been looking around and right now i have a bdx kit one of the first and well it kinda sucked but i put the time in and mad some supports in and it turned out great but im wanting to redo it this year and was looking at the ve kit witch is a better kit just more money but i havent heard any one mention the boondocke kit that they sell it just replaces from the middle section of the tunnel and turns the rest in to the boondocker tunnel witch is f***ing killer always wanted a ve tunnel just couldnt shell out the 1600 for it but now they got them for 350 i think for the kit check them out there sick thats just what im going to do http://vanamburgonline.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=273

I have the BDX Bumper and love it. What I did the reinforce it more is that I put more rivets into the bumper to hold it. I figured the more rivets the more likely it will hold up and not bend or crack.
