bd and intercooler kit for pro

Are we going to see one? Don't really like only being ablle to run lower boost levels at low elevation. I guess we also need to be able to turn on the third injectore. Already got it should be using it.
 
what kind of gas you running i been runnine 11 pounds but adding some race gas sure is a fun sled!

How hard was it to get to 11 lbs.? Are you running a wide band to help get it tuned in at 11? Would like to get more out of my BD and don't have any problems running more race fuel. Just curious as to how you got there?

The bd system is great at lower boost levels but at higher boost levels because of a lack of an intercooler and a cold air intake the power level increases will diminish with each pound of boost. At low elevations 8-9 lbs is all the fuel system will support also(200-220 hp max). Without the intercooler deto becomes more of a problem also even at low boost levels. Doesn't look like there is alot of room in there though so a water to air unit might be the best.
 
3rd injector

When boondocker remapped to 3d, did it in effect turn off the third injector?I don't cough and sputter as much with the 3d but i had alot more power with the old map........................whats up?????????? this thing feels like four pounds of boost but the ebc says nine and the fuel controller says eight and my butt says only four, what are these things really putting out?????????I need a cooler and more fuel availability, step up to the plate boondocker.
 
I think bd also tuned out the det sensor, as mine hasn't pulled a det code since the 3d mapping.

I'm up and running again after a new piston an cyl hone, and belt.

the det sensor still works hit mine the other weekend sent the sled in to lmp mode had to turn sled off and restart so it would run. I'm running the new 3d maping
 
We have touched 15#'s of boost with no problems. The seat of our pants said 15 also. Charge temps were up a little though.

What details can you give us on this. I was under the impression that the stock injectors will only allow 12 psi max and since BD isnt running the 3rd injector you must have been able to figure something out. Are you running that 3rd injector. How about fuel and detonation. Would love to see my Pro running more than 8.5 ish.
 
At 10000 ft you can run 12 but at 1000 ft you can only do 8. It is all about observed hp. At sea level the bd system without the third injector is only good for 200-220 observed hp same at altitude.

Anybody feel that there isn't much difference between 8# of boost and 10# of boost on these bd sleds?
Any other news on the intercooler? I don't think we'll see any more than 180hp out of these bd turbos without the 3rd injector and intercooler.

Buddy has a hm turbo on his pro and it makes Awesome power at 9lbs primarily due to the low charge temps that the water to air heat exchanger produces. 60-70 deg temps all the time. I think they're on to something here!

The Hm website says they sell the heat exchanger for other turbo systems. Sure would be cool if one of you guys tries on on your bd pro's.
 
Might have to if BD doesn't get going on there own. They say it is in the works but have not seen anything yet. As for the fan, anymore thatn a 3 sec pull and the fan helps alot. The heat doesn't build it is ther instantly. The only reason it takes any time at all is because it has to heat the intercooler or piping that it comes in contact with. The energy imparted to the air is instant and creates heat instantly just like in a a desiel engine. Yes the longer the run the higher the total temps will get but just because the intercooler can'y dissapate it fast enough. The fan helps from the get go. I used to wire my fan to come on with the closing of the ex valce solenoid so that it didn't run all the time but was always on when the engine rpm was high enough.
