battle of the 8s.skidoo spanks the competition

there a difference when a kid is spoiled and hes a cocky arrogant f*ck and the kid that is spoiled and still is respectfull, i admit i was spoiled but now iam 22now been working for $20 an hour since outa school almost never had a cosigner or nothing the thing i always hated the most " did daddy buy that for you" "or how much your daddy pay for this car" ect its the most irratating thing when people jump to conclusions obviously i cant get a loan for a 75,000 car i didnt get one but my brother got me the loan n i make the payments

imo the pics show what they are really like.
the sidehilling doo rider looks cool like a rider should, with one leg on the running board.and the poor m8 rider looks like hes gunna blow a seal trying to get that tank to lean uphill:)

Yea, those M's really suck to sidehill?????????

ypu sound like a bunch of hens, track to wide, thats been posted before because it is to much flotation,zx is more reliable w/rktek motor than my xp and m8.everyone has a opinion, but we all know if one of us was in the mountains broke down you'd help the guy or gal if they were broke down reguardless of what they rode.i know i have .what comes around goes around,.02

I gots a good story for ya ll

my buddy has a 2008 dragon 163 and a 2009 assault 146 (both with air kits and SLP pipes)
with my sno pro 162" 2009 M8 (BONE...BONE STOCK), we lined up in a field at home after about 500ft I was half a length and slightly pulling on the SLP equipped Assault...that was funny...he is such a die hard Polaris guy it was priceless, now we did this all day, he never beat me top or bottom.

about 2 months later he brought the same assault out to the same place, with it geared up a couple teeth, bragging about how he was gunna lick me up, I have since installed the RKT head and shim kit (15hp) and thats it.
LOL you wanna see a WHOOPIN!! at the end of 500ft or so I had him by an easy 2-3 lengths and was pulling away from him hard on the top end.
a couple of weeks later out on a river the same thing however I have added the STM 11" secondary, my friends it was even worse, that 162" sled does over 100mph with those mods at 2000ft
I do have to gear it down no doubt about it but it was a great pulling his Assault to the truck when he tweaked the motor!!!
ahhhh, was a good year for the putty tat.
oh and yes...it climbs like a billy goat

@boosted what where the snow conditions there? if it was hardpack i am impressed, if it was powder it doesn't surprise me so much

if you read the whole battle os the 8s in the magazine the riders that liked the xps were the ones that didnt ride that much and thats why it won. plus the whole point of the section in the magazine was to tell you what was good and bad about each sled. so the riders they picked just liked the xps style of riding.

these drags were in hardpack conditions, in the deep its the same, i was really surprised myself as well, another friend 2008 M8 162" sno pro was always behind us, the 2008 is not as strong as my 2009, 2010 should be fun

boosted.tell your buddy to change his track to the pc or the extreme and he will be amazed at the difference in his sled...the 5.1 track sucks in all conditions except certain types of dry powder...my buddies all kill me(xp, m-8's) until we go to one area where the powder is right for the 5.1..then my sled spanks them easy...a friend put the extreme on his D-7 and it made all of us look silly on the hill...am amazed at the difference in the sled with just a track change..........
