Simple mods I know - but any recommendations or preferences for bar risers and drop brackets? Sled is 2003.5 AC9001M. Would prefer not to extend throttle cable.

I have the same sled. I used an Ole's 2.5 riser without the need for throttle or brake extensions. I also have sledjunky's drop brackets.

I also have Ole's bar riser on my 1M. I like how it's angled a bit so it brings the bars straight up, instead of back towards me. Works great!! :D

Sledjunky's drop brackets for sure.... Ron is great and will answer any question you have.

I'm in the market for some risers, I'll let you know what I find. :D

I have a pivot type 3 inch riser, works great.
i had drop brackets and took them back of and sold them. I know lots of guys like them, but i didnt.
The sled struggled to transfer weight as well as with out them. Its all a rider preferance thing.

I went with the wildchild forward post with a 2 inch rise and added a 2 pivot. The only thing I had to extend was the brake and I went to napa and bought a $3.00 brake line. got 1500 mile's no problem. love the forward post...

I picked up a post from Cr racing that mounts in front of the cross bar instead of behind. it moves the bars forward about 7 inches and its also about 1.5 inchs taller, to that i added a 3" rox riser, brake line needs to be extend though i bought one for an m series sled for a nice factory look. sled handles way better then before id say this was by far the best mod ive done.
You will however have clearance the motor mount somewhat but its totaly worth the effort

i have a 3.5 or 4 inch oles on my 02 800. made riding that old hogg alot more comfortable. i would recommend them to anyone who doesnt want to mess with pivot risers

I too flipped a WildChild steering post to the front of the hoop and added a 2" riser on my 1M. Makes it feel like an entirely different machine. Bars are forward 6-7" and it requires less riser to get more height because of the post angle. Highly recommended. Also have the SJ drop brackets and they work great!

i have a pwr madd pivot 7, throttle extension was easy to install. and timbersled dropbrackets are the way to go. i toatled a sled with them on it, ripped the tunnel before brakeing the brackets.
