Thinking of hitting Bearpaw this weekend. Just seeing if it is still open for this season or if it's closed? Any info would be great.

Just got off the phone with the ranger and Baker area is CLOSED??

Sorry but wrong info...Yes it is and yes it can. It is a sno-park from the Hwy up to the end of the road and it can and will be closed if they find damage from sleds. Officially it has to meet the same requirements Schreiber's does, which I believe is 24". The fact that there is a shorter distance to travel from the end of the road to the good snow helps reduce the damage but if for some chance it becomes a mud and dirt trail through the woods then it could be closed.

:boxing: ok.ok. End of the road about 4,500+\- if there's snow where you climb for access, majority of the riding is around 5,000 and above. So,if you're riding dirt while climbing for access, probably safe to say it's closed, or at least should be. :face-icon-small-ton @ Bearpaw

When are those granola chokers going to realize it would be a good thing if we groomed the hiking trails on our sleds. Maybe we should start slapping Hillary for President stickers all over them, leaf lickers love that she-male
