AXYS oil ?

Anyone know the difference between the Polaris VES and the VES Race other than the price? I bought the VES race oil just because I like to spend money and if it costs more it's got to be better right? :eyebrows:

See image below, recommended for cold conditions apparently, not sure if there are other benefits.

I use VES, but I was surprised how much it used! 100 miles and used 1/2 gallon!!!

Maybe due to the increased oil usage for break in? The chart is from the short track versions owners manual but same motor so I'm guessing it applies.

I believe Amsoil will go to bat for you if you have any problems with a claim.

AMSOIL stands behind its products and the people who use them. If the OEM claims use of AMSOIL products violates the warranty, contact AMSOIL Technical Services (715-399-TECH).

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you used an aftermarket or recycled part... The manufacturer or dealer must show that the aftermarket or recycled part caused the need for repairs before denying warranty coverage.

You guys making this argument must have a nice spare sled to ride... To me the problem would be lost ride time. If you run Poo oil and follow Poo service recommendations you are much less likely to experience a delay in fixing your machine. They can not deny your warranty without proof but they can take their sweet time approving it if there is a question about the oil used.

Clearly the VES works just fine. It seems crazy to try and save money here, and even more insane to pay more than what the VES costs because you think you are getting something better.

A gallon of Amsoil Intercetor. $35.50.
A gallon of VES. $35.
Polaris and Amsoil have been in bed together for years. Amsoil makes their oil. Polaris does not.

Been running citgo sea and snow (now called mystic) and castrol 2T..ran both since 2008, and loved every ride, and better yet the price. Will run it till it's sold out. Eff VES

We bought the VES at Hay Days in September. $35 total! We had no intention of buying any oil. Just thought is was a good price. Maybe we should have bought more?

So if Polaris oil is the same as ams oil how come it stinks so bad -- that is my only problem riding with my Poo Buddies

Ams oil does not have that god awful stench. Put some vanilla smell in there or something :)

$46 is actually deal. I saw dealers at $52 last year.

Dealer relationship, with a decent dealer, is your best warranty, if you need it. Donuts and beer don't hurt when you find them. Not always easy to find.

I never noticed, I am always in front. :eyebrows:

I have found the amsoil and redline oils to be FAR and away the stinkiest out there. Those have some eye burning chemicals in them or something. Legend oil is WAY better smelling oil and better quality that both as well.

I have always liked the smell of Klotz. If I get into town sometime I can get Amsoil for $29.10/gal at Amsoil. NAPA wants $44
