axis CE x3 track opionions

Wondering what opinions are on the x3 track. I have come across one but no experience with the new axys mine came with 2.6 and coming off the cat I really like the claw. need real world opinion's

you have enough clearance to run it but you'll need new 3" pitch drivers to match the track.

With that said, I ran a 3" pitch track on my stock skidoo for 3 years without issue.... :juggle::juggle:

I put a 3 inch on my 2.6. Drivers and anti stab kit. This sled has a 3 inch Polaris. I have had a x3 on a pro. Great track. I would consider gearing down. I installed tki belt drive. Love it.

I had them on different sleds at different times. 15 pro with an x3 and 16 Axys with a series 7 163 last year and 174 this year. Both good tracks, but I think the edge goes to the x3.

X3 vs series 7 3"?

Series 7 will trench more.

Also hook up better on logs, brush, dirt, old tracks, small mammals etc.

At least vs the x3.2.

In the deep (wet or dry) the 3.2 stomps the series 7.

After feeling the soft ish lugs on a x3 i can only assume it will perform closer to the x3.2 than the series 7.

I cut my center lugs on my series 7 to allow flex and it made a noticeable difference in float.

I have a 17 axys with X3 162 hooks up way better in the WY pow than the 2.6 side by side. I have stock QD gears now but going to try pro sockets next trip. Would like to try compare a 3.2 side by side to a X3.

I assume you mean a 3" track on 2.86 drivers.
Thinking about trying this on my pro. Cat 3" drivers measure about the same between teeth as the pro 8 tooth.

My brother has 4 rides on his quick drive axys with stock drivers and the x3.2.
Probably less chance of ratcheting than stock.

Made a difference you say, how ? Less trenching? More floatation?

Those that went from 2.6 to the x3 did you notice a handling difference with the added weight of the x3

This sure will be interesting. Waiting for an answer.?

Lol.

Yes.
Skidoo guys have done this for years.

Started running this because the drivers my brother ordered had not showed up yet.
Haven't put the drivers on because the sled works fine as is.

It will be interesting to see if this works out in the long run. One reason why I think it worked (a few had issues once the miles starting accumulating) is the fact that BRP has used much better drivers (extrovert) than Polaris and the center driver????? I hope your brother's sled works well. You're correct about the difference between the series 7 and the X3/3.2. My observations are the same.

My recommendation for going with an X3 or 3.2 would be to go with the Avid Power-claw 3.0" drivers, ice age anti stab, and throw the mickey mouse Polaris drivers in the trash.
