It's great that you bought the equipment but it will not do you any good if you do not know how to use it! Every reply here is right on so please take note.
People have been caught up in avy's and have never left the trail. If you ride a sled, buy a beacon and probe, go to a class and learn how to use them and then wear them. My hubby and I go to a course every year (this will be #5 for us) and have gotten our group to go as well. They are great refreshers when you have not touched the beacon all summer.
Bottom line, at the end of the day, I want to see everyone make it back to the parking lot so we can talk about the awesome day we had riding and make plans for the next one!
