was it the one by the cabins at lulu??if so sound like he got hurt from debris falling down with him !!isee pic on lsb thread in riding areas "Montana" it was a Yamaha in the slide!!

The guy is damn lucky to be alive. We came there right after it happened as we were riding with Rob when he got the call over the radio. These slides seem to be happening way too often, and it seems to be persons from the midwest almost every time. We have been going to Cooke since 97, and I will admit that we did some dumb stuff when we started going there. We didn't know any better. The difference now is that you can go buy a bone stock sled off the showroom floor and go places you couldn't 10 years ago on a full out mod sled. Mix that in with inexperience with the terrain you are riding and it is a recipe for disaster. Going to a place like Cooke is not for the inexperienced. The best would be to ride with someone that knows the area and get educated on the bad spots and try to be careful. Sorry for the book.

Your 100% right about the sleds. Ive been saying the same thing the last 3 years. Ive seen 300 lb guys on stock sleds go over the top sitting down.
