**ATTN MODS and ADMIN**

Can't access snowest.com or snowest.com/forum from my office computer. It says its a virus and has been doing it since yesterday. I can log in at home just fine.

If you access the site from snowest.com, just change the address in your bookmark to snowestonline.com... then you won't even be on the main Harris Server.

:beer;

Now Google is warning be about the forums:scared:

Stop making excuses for them :face-icon-small-fro This is a for profit busisness and they have an obligation to keep this site malware free.

A huge part of charging for a service...is to manage that service.

I dont want excuses...I want a safe site. How many paying members have viruses now and dont even know it.:face-icon-small-con

My guess is that they are hard at work fixing it as we speak. In the meantime, it might be prudent for all members/visitors to make sure their Malware and Anti-virus software is up to date. This, as well as a scan, should be done on a daily basis.

Lets just be 100% clear here.

SNOWEST and SNOWESTONLINE are NOT the same!

Neither You, nor anyone else, PAID to be on SNOWEST. SNOWEST is 100% FREE and open to the general public.

SNOWESTONLINE is completely separate.

The Forums live on different hardware that is isolated and apart from the Snowest/Harris Publishing servers.

That is what the Premium members of this site paid for.

The servers that www.SnowestONLINE.com live on are not infected, and unless someone tells me otherwise, there have been NO REPORTS of any viral activity on our servers or in the forums.

The issue is 100% on the Harris Servers and not on the forum servers.

So what you are saying is that snowestonline.com is not a owned and operated by harris publishing? I though this was their site that you are paid to manage:face-icon-small-dis....hence the making excuses comment. It was intended for the SW management,not you personally.

I also never said it was your problem.....but it does affect you. How many "paying" snowestonline users access through snowest.com?
(thinking they are one in the same)

How may users now have malware..........:face-icon-small-sho

Kind of like saying to a customer that...one business unit sucks and another is great....Still the same Company.

Maybe they need a hand running the SW site and you could help them out....for a fee:nod:

If you are right, why has google chrome flagged snowestonline as a malware distributing site?

Been running Windows live/Internet Explorer (i think thats it?) for the last few years. Havent had the issues listed above...............................................

..........................until tonight! Yahoo Mail has been a wreck and tech support had me switch over to GOOGLE CHROME (and im digging it! seems faster and I can open my e-mails again!) In setting it as my MAIN BROWSER, was transfering my "favorites" list. SnoWest/forums brings up the above flags every time I tried to open it. Still nothing on Windows/explorer... all my other sled sites are now bookmarked together in one place. All except SnoWest... wont be logging in from there, not worth the risk. I already play "on the other side of the fence", maybe ya'all should come on over.:face-icon-small-win:nod::wave:

Harris Publications owns this forum, and the servers live in their building.

BUT...

The Forums are completely separate and isolated from all of the regular Harris server's Software and Hardware.

The staff that runs the forums doesn't have any access to their servers, and they don't have any access to the forum servers.

The only thing the two of us share in common is the fiber optic connection to the ISP.

===

All that said, I have asked and asked for them to get this problem resolved and all we can do is patiently wait for them to get it taken care of. There is just nothing I can do at this point to get it resolved any faster. They are the only ones that can solve the problem.
