ASSAULT RMK Spindles and Mounts ..100% different

Just got done putting a ZBROS 36" Frontend on My 2017 RMK Assault ..

The spindles are way different .. where the lower Ball joint mounts the Horizonal pieces where the bolt goes through is Thicker like .125 and not .100

Also the spindle has about 8 degrees more Caster built into the spindle as a Milling process not just in the mount both seem to mount in the same horizontal plane ..

The arms are mounted with alot thicker bushings and arm mounts or tubing are alot thicker ..

As well as the arms are obviously different ..

All the Ball joints where the spindles mount to arms are identical nothing different there ..

To mount PRO RMK /SKS arms on a ASSAULT RMK you need all of the grooved pins washers and clips with the RMK Bushings .. I believe it's a total of 32 parts ..

The Assault Spindles also have clearance for the Zbros Arms to direct fit with no Grinding or clearanching needed !!!!!!

Did you change the shocks?
I picked up a new assault yesterday and would like to narrow it up, but I'm not excited about changing the shocks.

Aftermarket shocks, spindles, and arms will get you rolling. Exit / Zbros makes the full meal deal, although I bought their arms and personally recommend against them. I prefer the Alt Impact arms.

Just buy Zbroz a arms, use stock spindles and send your shocks to gas shock repair, he will shorten them to whatever length u want. I just did the 39" on mine so he shortened my shocks to 16 5/8. He's very fast and very reasonable on price. Great guy! Only thing u will need is shorter springs.

I had Evol Rs left from my Pro and used them ..

Sorry forgot to add for Correct Camber angles and Less grinding needed you need to use 16.5 length shocks !!

I'm not really a shock coniasure... I like whatever I can rebuild !!

This sounds like a great route to go. I suppose even stock RMK arms with shortened WE piggybacks would do the trick as far as narrowing it up and keep the adjustable shocks. Has anyone added a sway bar after narrowing up an assault?

How are you guys liking your narrower Assaults? I found out this week that the Zollinger 1" offset spindles won't fit so I'm getting more serious about
changing the A Arms. How much did it change the way the Assault handled? What about moving the skid to the upper hole, has anyone done that? I'm very interested to know these mods improve the Axys Assault.

I also ordered an SLP stage 2 kit, any feedback on that? (I was planning on just ordering the can but I guess got carried away!)

That's a bummer. I was looking into those.

That'll happen. I have the pipe not the clutching. I never rode it stock so I can't say how much of an improvement it is but I am down on rpms a little so I have to do some tinkering. I think I'll always have an SLP pipe on my sleds though.
