is there enough ares to ride if you stay a week in Alpine? say a area every day (Backcountry off trail) ??
and is the Highway open from Idaho falls to Alpine in the winter? and how about from Alpine to Jackson?
Thanks for any info Guys/Gals..:yo:

Alpine has more area to ride than you could possibly imagine. You can ride in town to many different areas. Spent a weekend there last winter and only saw a small percentage of the area. It helps if you have someone that knows the area to ride with as well.

Yes, the highways from IF to Alpine to Jackson are open year round. Of course, if a nasty storm blows in or high winds show up, they can be closed until the road crews can get out and get them cleared.

More than enough to ride for two weeks if you want to, Probably the best riding I have ever done is Alpine area. Just need to know where to go.

Yes, you will definitely be able to ride for a week. Alpine and the Star Valley has the most friendly homey atmosphere, it is a place that is very special. Try staying in Thayne.

You can't even touch hardly any of what's available to ride in alpine in two weeks!!! There's so many different areas!

Reservations made 2nd week of Feb..Thanks for all the info Guys..Say if I wanted to Drive then ride into Granite hot springs a day is there other ridding around there or is it wilderness? to make a whole day of it??

I've stayed in Alpine at the Flying Saddle or something like that. GREAT place to stay!!!

There's some riding around granite, but good luck once your in the pool its hard to get out... lol
It's a real fun day trip, look for the small water falls on your way in. Bring a lunch there's tables and a grill. I'd suggest everyone tries it at least once.

Hoping to find someone to show us around into some honey holes to play in we will be there the 9, 10,11 of Feb. (just even show us around 1 day would be great)We will be staying at the flying saddle (willing to drive wherever)and we are all mountain riders we all have avy gear ect. 5 OF US Total ..any info would be great!
Thankyou

Rob Hoff has ten person cabin and sick day adventures in alpine. Best money you will spend.

K guys getting down to the wire how's the snow? Talked to Rob (Hoff) he's headed to Canada that week. Anyone else able to show us around for a day?

I know you are going to Alpine, just some info, if you go to Jackson with your trailers if you are towing one, you can't go over Teton pass (hwy 22 towards Victor Id)with a trailer back into Idaho.

I'm just sayin!

Ya gave Troy a call he wanted $1000 for 1day 5 people..just to show us around no rentals ,nothing..that's a $125 an hour..I'm in the wrong Fkn Business :face-icon-small-sho

When you get to town get one of the awesome trail maps they provide for free. the marked trails are groomed and will get you to some fun areas if you are willing to explore. You can always ask a local where to go but more times then not they are not saying much. So I would just say
-be willing to explore unmarked side trails
-No need to trail ride 50 miles to good riding
-ask someone in the parking lot if you can tag along

Your right about being in the wrong business, lucky most of the people paying that much are from outside the US and wouldn't know where they were being taken anyway so those secret stashes remain a secret.
