Are there any female snowmobilers on here?

Houston, we got a problem.
My wife made it perfectly clear to me today that she does not want a sled or to ride anymore.

Welcome Tia!
Graduated from Cody,Wyo myself. I started riding 5 years ago. Very similar situation to yours minus the kids.

My Husband took 2 years out of his normal riding routine to get me online. He would do it again in heart beat. From this is where the idea of my Mini's Back Country Basic Clinic came about, not just for women but men also.

Budd is my main riding partner & I am his now.

If you need help pm me anytime for pointers. I would be glad to help out if I can.

Don't worry about holding him or others back, or keeping up the pace when you two are out riding. It will inhibit learning. I made sure Budd would get out & go with others & I would stay home in addition during my learning time so that he could have his fun from time to time. Focus on each day & what you can accomplish. Some days will be those big accomplishment days & some will be three steps backwards (more of these in the very beginning). Patience. You will get there. Just remember to always have fun that makes it easier too!

Snowest is a great place to meet others, & there is all different levels of riders in here with all sorts of areas of interests!

Good Luck!

Got my wife involved 7+ yrs ago. I only get in a trip or two a year without her now. Just like anyone (male or female) it takes experience to learn your machine. The best way to learn is to be pushed a little....not to the point of being terified, but a little uneasy at times.

Oh and the kids....4 yr old son now on his 3rd season of riding with me. Can't leave him home now or he will dis own me.

Love to see new people/families getting involved in the sport I love. HAPPY SLEDDING!

Another chicky here!

There are quite a few ladies on here...and ditto on the ladies forum, great bunch of lady snowmobilers there! :D Always glad to see more girls in the sport!

Welcome to this awesom sport! Dont ever hesitate to ask for advice or pointers from any of the ladies! We're all here for you and want you to develope as big of a passion for it as we have!

There are quite a few lady riders with children too - I have a 2.5 year old and a almost 9 year old myself. Been hard to get out in recent years because of the little one but things are finally changing in my riding favor! For most of us, our main riding parteners are our hubby's / S.O.'s too.

Again, welcome!

..

Well I ride with ten great ladies here in WA. We are always looking for family orientated people to bring the whole group out.

Its great having you join the wonderful world of sledding and getting the kids involved is great too! :D We are all here to help ya with the addiction.

Welcome aboard
