are the grips and heaters salvageable if you change bars?

can the grips and heaters be re-used if I change my bars? I know the cat ones would never work once I removed them and put them back on.

I've changed them out a few times with no problems...but be very very careful peeling them off.

To me, it's just easier to pay a few extra bucks to put new ones on. It guarantees that I only have to do it once.

Just use your air blower under one edge of the grips and blow up like a balloon, they will slide right off. never had much luck peeling heaters off though.

heat gun, gotta heat the bar from the inside, start peeling all along edge at once..like it was stated a pita
