41% of Americans polled, say we should build a wall on the Canadian border. I'll leave out Alaska and the Rockies and just focus on a small part of Minnesota, called the North West Angle, just north of the 49th parallel. I would just love to hear from 4 in 10 Americans about how a wall can be built there. I' am listening.........anyone? :clock::clock::clock:
PS. Oh, and good luck with Lake Superior. It's only 1333 feet deep.

Some "reporters/columnists/blowhards" trying to make a name for themselves. Hoping to be heard.

That is such a hard part about things. Validity of "surveys" really are in question more and more lately. So easy to take truely meaningless data and "publish" something online and people take it as the written word. And the dumber **** is, the more likely it is to be looked at by more people, driving site traffic, ad space, $$$$$$. Not about the facts.

Which circles right back around to the original question...

I think you just made that up so people would read your post.

Yeah, but what if the survey is half right? Lets say 20%. That's why I inserted the word some in the thread title.
Personally I think some Americans don't even know where Canada is.

I don't disagree with you that there are some astoundingly dumb people out there. Just realizing how easy it is to manipulate.

I used to live in VA before I moved west. When I go to visit back there people legitimately think we all still ride horses to school, live in log cabins, etc. I would not be suprised if they thought we needed to build a wall on our northern border.

The south (mostly eastern) portion of the US tends to be the largest groups of uneducated people I have ever met. Not in a bad way like intentionally ignorant, but just narrow minded backwoods folks. Hell, where I lived in Virginia you would have thought the civil war was last week how the black/white issues were. Absolutely nuts.

But I digress.....

No, I didn't think you were disagreeing at all. I guess I am just dumbfounded about a survey like that. Yes, around here we hear that about the south still fighting that war. I will be driving through Bozeman in two weeks on my way to Vegas. Last May when I was in Vegas there were people I met that don't know where Lake Superior is. It's only the largest fresh water lake in the world and holds 10% of the worlds fresh water. Speaking of stupid, this spell check can't spell Bozeman.

I don't if there's a serious discussion about a wall at the northern border but in general I'd say well more than 41% of Americans are that stupid ! It's likely near double that !

Kind of like people think all Minnesotans talk like the people in the movie Fargo, dere. Don't cha know?

I know many Canadians that go down to the states and some Americans legitmentally think we live in igloos , polar bears are like squirrels and we ride dog sleds ... :canada:
You are not alone on that one. Years ago I had one person ask me if you can breath when it's snowing. :frusty:
I have snowmobiled Ontario many times and Quebec one time. Not much difference between here and lets say Kenora or Dryden. Now Quebec is a different story.:canada:

My mother in law does.
She's lived in Sherwood, ND, Fargo and Minot, but lives in Bismarck now.
