Are float plates worth a damn

Thanks guys, I'll be getting one. I'll just have to get a case for the trimming process. mmmm, beer. BTW, these are for two '10 dragons 155, 1 black, 1 silver. I love deployment money!!

You can get the Float plate to fit with the right tools a little time & patience.

And for two Dragons no less.. Should be a real fun season of riding.

Can't wait till Arctic Man 2010.. :beer;

I'd say a float plate would be a sound investment for any sled. Consider... Your stock bellypan is maybe an 1/8" thick plastic... not gonna take much to distort or crack that if you come up on a stump, even slowly. The Skinz Float plate is easily a 1/4" thick.... that's gonna take a lot more abuse bouncing off of landmines than your stock setup, especially with the 'grill' inserts in the bottom of the '05-'08 sleds.

I did choose to trim mine, like EW posted, there is a large 'shovel' between the a-arms and where the belly pan comes down from the shock tower. A nice warm day and a sharp utility knife is all it took, but I would personally recommend it.

Overall I would definitely recommend one.:D
