April Trip

I work for a CPA firm therefore trips are out of the question for me from January 1 to April 15th. Is there anywhere good to take a trip to after April 15th?

It will still be awesome in the Snowies and the Madres..

Our last ride in good fresh snow was late May. My last ride of this past season was July 4th in the Snowies.. We did 35 miles and never had issues with dirt or over heating. The water skipping is perfect then too.

Basically What I am saying is... Yes

I rode the Sierra Nevada mountains southwest of Lake Tahoe until mid June this year, and there was still plenty of snow. Not as large and area to ride as earlier, but still fun.
In mid April there was snow everywhere.

Try Walden CO, just 60 miles south of Larimie WY. Very good snow till past May last year, we went late Feb and in May they had 6 more feet of snow than they did when we went. This is what I posted for people in the SD Forum

Last is Walden CO. by far the best place to ride out of all of them!!IMO Its about 60 miles south of Larimie WY and about 12 hours from Watertown driving kinda fast The only drawback is you have to trailer your sleds in and out everyday, but the riding you will have makes up for this BIG TIME!! Last year we hit 4 foot of fresh powder By far the best riding I have ever been in, and we had 2 foot every day after that. We stay at the Northpark Inn at Walden, the owner Dave, rides sled also and has a nice heated garage to work on your ride if it breaks( like one of ours did last year) He also has all the tools you need, if he helps you be prepaird for alot of talking Dave is a windbag but very very nice. We rent one of the two houses he has there for only $125.00 per night with 5 beds full kitchen and living room and the hotel is right across the street with a big hottub to have a beer and relax in after the ride. We ate uptown all the time, very nice places for not alot of money. The parking lot that you have to go to is about 13 miles away, make sure you have plenty of gas and food with you, there is nothing up there but TONS of snow!!

I am going for my CPA now and my dads a CPA so we would always go right before january first and also april 16th. Every 16th we head to cooke city and the snow has never let us down. I tend to sneak away a couple times during the year also. I can't give up snowmobiling for the profession.

I like your dedication right there!!! Sounds like a good plan. Our office is always closed April 16th so it would be a good opportunity to get in another trip!

Same here, we usually go wherever a storm is and if theres no storm cookes the place we always go. Great stress reliever for the end of tax season.
