Apex vs Nytro...All bull aside

i think guys will be surprised, what another year will see what the nytro will really do once they figure how to run above 18lbs boost right now thats the limit for the nytro do to fuel supply.now that most the kits are out they can play with diff turbos & other go fast things but boost for boost the nytro has been right there or beating the apexs in the drag races so far.:beer;:beer;

You could be right 100% but wright now if you took the best Apex and best Nitro both sleds on a hill that dont end I honestly think that Nitro dont have a chance my opinion

Oh and just because I ride an Apex dont mean I think its better I dont hate any brand or competition, I just believe what I see

This is a pretty funny statement considering some of the first time climbs made this year on Nytros (guess the "boys" had very mature ba!!s).

We're all humbled in your manly presence!! lol ;) :D :beer;

Like which ones?
If there is a best Nitro that could beat the best Apex I would love to see it then I would have a reason to get a new sled and trust me I look for any reason

my opinion

own both, rode lots on both, and same chassis setups the nitro WILL beat the apex at the same boost. Wouldn't have belived at the start of the year but now I have seen it a few times.

Mike...the best part about buying an Apex all done up is that its a $20000 savings! lol
really wanted to buy your Apex when you were done...but after watchin Boost Duece Im thinkin i might wait a bit lol.

all honesty if you want to ride a dialed in turbo at any boost, jump on an Apex for a lot less cash, look in the classifieds they are dirt cheap in comparison to what money was sunk into these boosted beasts!

if you dont mind spending the big bucks and doing everything new, go Nytro

I have a Synergy boosted Apex myself with everything done.......CR, Holz, the works...you will have to pry this thing from my dead hands right now...its dialed in perfectly for me! wouldnt trade it for anything!

I feel the same way, the Boosted Nytros are sick machines but it will take the next gen Apex to get me off my current sled, I love the 20 valve 4 cylinder, and it sounds better than anything on the snow...Ferrari motor on boost LOL :face-icon-small-coo

I have to make the decision to sell my apex and get a nitro and turbo and start over, or spend more cash on the apex i got with tunnel, seat, suspension ect.. to lighten it up some. What to do:confused:

I wasn't sure what to think either, but after talking to Mike I. and Jason n Tyler Earl.. they're sold on the Nytro. If they are, then I am too. Tim Mcgregor took Earl's sled for a rip and was blown away in about 5 minutes of riding it. Guarantee him and Busat will be riding Nytros next year, me included after ripping on Tim's 136 turbo Nytro!!! Fun stuff.

Truer words never spoken. I own both, and figured I would sell the Apex after this season to do another Nytro. Not no way, no how. I love how responsive the Nytro is at low throttle, but I cannot get used to the chassis. Everytime I ride it all I want is back on my Apex.
So, like Remmy, I will wait until the Next gen Apex come around. Until then, I'll keep spinning around on my heavy old pos Apex. Heck, she'll hit three thousand miles this year, should'nt she be wore out now?

The Nytro is for sure more responsive than the Apex but the chassis has some quirky handling that I don't like myself. It wheelies so bad that it is always in the air. I've talked to people with the Timbersled skid and 162" and they still said it wheelies pretty bad. You can pump up those shocks with your cockpump all you want and then it is so stiff you don't have suspension, just a stiff brick in the rear. It's very tippy to me, some like it, I don't.

This year I have really gotten used to my Apex with some suspension stuff and skis, I really like it. I feel a lot more stable on it than the Nytro.

If you are looking for a newer super forward sled that you can turbo reliably then the Nytro is for you, just remember it will wheelie bad with a turbo, and expect to dump some coin into trying to make it so stiff that it doesn't transfer as much.

If you like to carve and showboat doing S turns the Nytro is also a lot easier than the Apex.

They are just two different sleds, both are good and both require some suspension stuff to make them work better. I put GYTR shocks up front and Ohlins on the rear skid which helped me, I'm not sold on the Timbersled skid as the cure all, from what I have seen it isn't all that other than the weight loss.

The Nytro will need a tunnel and 174" to try to help it keep the front down, then I wonder how much different it will handle.

I haven't ridden a M10 super whatever Nytro, but I have rode an EZ ride and that sucked too.

I'm 250 lbs. 6'2" so the Apex is ok for me, a smaller guy would probably like the Nytro.

I will wait for another year and see what happens. I'm happy with what I have.

You will see how a Nytro handles with a CR tunnel, 174x16x2.5 track, timbersled rear skid and 20 lbs of boost next season!!! If that does not keep the front end down, then a 5 gallon gas can strapped on each ski will hopefully cure the problem!!!

In the group I ride with we have a nitro with a 16X162 maverick with a timber rear skid and mcx turbo set to 12 LBS boost.
apex with mcx turbo set to 12 LBS boost with a stock skid.
both sleds are set up nice and run crisp.
Nitro with the timber skid does not wheelie and rides nice on the trail.
Apex does wheelie keeps skies 1 foot off the snow on a steady climb
and rides soft on the trail.

Heads up drag race up a hill
the nitro gets a jump on the apex 2-3 sled lenghts for the first 100 yards
and then the apex slowley catches and passes the nitro.

Ride them both and take your pick both are awesome sleds
I like the nitro because I love the ridding position of my rev.

IMHO the Apex will highmark the Nitro with both set up the same.
