Anyone want to share clutch setup?

Anyone want to share their clutch set up? I installed an MPI turbo on my 18 175. I just added weight to the primary and it runs good. However I smell the belt alot, so I'm looking for a little better setup. Thinking of trying the 168 ramps.

Reset your max RPM on your dash and see what you are coming up with. You should be keeping it under 8000 when you are pulling hills with it loaded up. Anything over 7900 is too much RPM.

Mpi

I also run MPI turbo. Run Big Johns set up with his new ramps it's worth the $. Less belt heat, better shift out, better track speed etc. 8000 rpm give or take 100rpm works fine. Best sled and turbo combo I've ran yet

Well I think using the using the max rpm is kind of useless unless your way over. Unloading the track will cause it to go over. My rpm's are really good.

I will consider a clutch kit, just wanted to try something with parts on hand and easy to get.

What elevation and pounds of boost are you at?

I run 8000 to around 10500, boost? 6.5? the kit is supposed to change boost based on conditions.

Don't get me wrong this works good and I'm pulling good and consistant rpms, between 7900 and 8000. But I can smell the belt when working it.
