Anyone using Heelclicker clutch weights?

I have a set of Heelclicker clutch weights on my 02 800 RMK and thought they really made big improvement on my sled. These are the one piece weights with the fixed shoulder. I am looking at some of the hinged two speed weights for my 08 800 Dragon. Does any one have any experience with these? good or bad I would like to know, thanks in advance.

I have a set of the two speed heel clickers sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I could not bring myself to selling these pieces of s#%t to anyone else. There has been alot of discussion on these weights when they first appeared. Performance isn't the issue as durability is!! Put them in my 02 RMK 800 and had grief with the shoulders wearing out on the arms and pins failing. A couple upgrades later on pins, then the arms failed. The arm failure was the common issue and a major one. Mine failed at 8300 rpm and literally disentegrated, shrapnel everywhere including a whole in my riding pants. Towed sled back to truck and did not run it till i checked run out on my crank. It went from 0.0015 to 0.008 from this failure ( had just rebuilt engine so i know what run out was). Damaged clutches and cranks were common complaints. They have come out with a stronger arm and i have never tried them so i won't comment on them. Would never recommend the two speeds to anyone.

I've run them in an XC800 and currently have a set in my F7. I'vd been happy with them and i do like them more than my old fixed shoulder heelclickers. At the same time most of my riding trail/lake, so I don't think that I see the high rpm as often as you mountain fellas. I do keep my eye on their condition daily because of stories like Sammy's. Glad your ok, scary thought!

Heard good stuff about Heelclickers to, performance wise.

Been thinking about a 4-post clutch with two Heel clickers fixed shoulder and two Supertips. Anybody tried this?

Do you mean using two differant kinds of weights? if so it sounds like a bad idea to me. What will this do to the balance on your primary clutch, with it spinning at 8000 rpm it needs to be well balanced or it will be ugly when it lets go!!!

Balance

Yes, everything needs to be balanced. But in a 4 arm clutch there are two and two weights directly across from eachother. This will balance it out since the weight you put in one arm will be the exact same as on the other side of the clutch.

This, of course, cannot be done on a 3 arm clutch.

What about the singles? Are they worth adding to your sled. I have another question: Do you pull your driven clutches often to do all of this. I ask because Indy Dan has mentioned to avoid pulling the clutch if not necessary, hard on the crank.
