If you're an XP rider, check out page 3. They have decent tow ropes that don't take up much space in a pack.
not to bash p auto but some of there stuff is use once and throw away after quality . sounds like an awsome spare shovel for the truck or trailer ,but do you really want to be stuck in the mountains with a broken shovel
I was at Princess Auto today and saw the shovels. They would make a good shovel for digging out stucks orththe truck but are only plastic so they would be useless if you needed to dig out a budy in an avy. I did buy one of those fancy tow ropes as one of the guys in our group rides an XP
He pulls you out lots then??

How good are you gonna feel about the few bucks you might have saved after not being able to dig out your buddy who was caught in an avalanche???
PA's stuff has it's place, but most of it is low quality and chinese built. I would much rather support a local company like SOS and have an item that will function when I need it.
I use an aluminum grain scoop, those avalanche shovels are over priced and too small.
