Anyone run an Apex Mtn with NOS ? I'm ready to convert

2 Yrs ago I rode an APEX at the Yami demo. I was impressed and I'm ready to change brands now. I know that with the extra weight I will want a little something extra to get me where I usually ride and back. Most of my riding is boondocking. I've been riding a Polaris 800RMK that really runs well but I'm afraid that I'd need something up my sleeve with the extra weight of the Yamaha. I'm not into point and shoot hillclimbing so I don't think that boosted is the answer. Is NOS a good fit and how well does it work? I haven't heard much about it on the Apex's. How big of a tank should I consider? How hard or easy is it to tune? Is any box/brand better than the other? Any advise, experiences or opinions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Curt

hello... anyone out there? If I don't get an answer soon, I'm gonna go with Ski-Doo... Just kidding... I'm just curious as to why most of you are going turbo or SC. My riding style-preference wouldn't require 200 HP all the time, but I would like to know that its there if needed, and I don't know if that justifies $5k for a blower.

I don't know why most people think a turbo or s/c'd apex is a point and shoot sled. it's a great all around sled that is very capable of booning with the best of them. for arguements sake and to save an argument, I did not say it will spank any of the other 3 brands out there. It is a great boonin sled. why dont' you look in swap meet and find an apex with a turbo or s/c installed for the rediculous prices they are going for. great time to buy. With noss, you can run out half way through the day and your fun is over. turbo or s/c you have endless runs. more expensive startup cost, but factor how much noss and how many times you ride in a year and it add's up. plus 1000 plus for the system in the first place. tough call.

Totally agree with Noob........don't count out a turbo (can't speak for a s/c cause I've never been on one). I just got a T-Apex about a month ago. Second day on it, I had to ride the trees cause that was the only place a guy could see...........and that was one of the funnest days I've ever had!!!!! It shocked me how well it would float and how I could idle around boonin thru the trees, then when I got to a tight spot a crisp crack of the throttle and away it went.

Like Noob said, NOS will run out but boost won't.

Good luck:beer;:beer;

NOS apex for sale

I pm'd you. Turbo would be nice but they are expensive. I figured Nos was the cheap quick easy way to extra power. I also looked at where I wanted to have the power. I wanted for boost up difficult hills where the weight of the apex sometimes holds it back. The apex is plenty of fun in all other areas with the stock hp. With the Nitrous this year my apex has taken me to the places I wanted to go and further. I thought I needed a turbo so I could climb like those guys on the videos. I was wrong those guys have bigger b@lls than I. I saw what those big hill were I about and I may say it was a little scary, never climbed like that before.

So I decided himarking wasn't my fortay. So I decided try the snowhawk. I have recently bought a snowhawk and now I need to sell the apex. Can't afford 2 toys.
