anyone make a tunnel dump can for n/a?

I just carve too hard in too deep of snow cause I have the right side bog baaaaaaad. I tried an aftermarket can and same problem. Replaced my exhaust gasket but still happens.

Does anyone make a can that tunnel dumps like the turbos?

Prob have to take aftermarket one and modifiey it at a shop, I have a tunnel dump on my xm that Tss makes I like it but don't think they deal with Polaris

i have made a couple tunnel dumps for cats i am working on one for a pro right now hope to have done by next week

is this really a design issue? It comes up so rarely anymore that i'm surprised its an actually issue with where the can dumps. anyone care to comment? It used to be caused by exhaust injestion under the hood, but these new sleds pull fresh are in from up top?

Bog

In this deep snow are your intake screens full of snow also? Are you running the extra intake kit or not? Are you running powder valves? If your intake is not getting enough air in the deep snow this will make the exhaust more likely to cause a bog or power loss also since your air volume is being taxed at both ends, coming in and going out. Engine is just a big air pump so both ends need to be happy! Having the v-shaped guard in front of exhaust outlet should be plenty to create a void in the snow unless you are a turbo where the help may be needed.

I am wanting to run in it a little differn't meduim teh liquid versin of snow, water. In watercross it is a big deal and the stock snow defelctor does not work. So in most cases people build big ugly defelctors or tunel dumps. Not sure about the snow world but I would imagine it would be same if the snow is heavy enough. I do kow in water you can shut a sled off with a stock gaurd if turn hard enough.

Well, it only happens when I really carve deep and hard to the right so you tell me. It doesn't happen if I keep my speed up but when it is uber deep and a hard turn nearly stops me and takes WOT to just pop back up then blaaaaaaaaahhhggggggggg!

Actually you can solve this by using black silicone sealant around the exhaust gasket gap and the can - worked wonders for me with the exact same problem. Thanks to SLP for telling me about this inexpensive fix! What happens is exhaust gasses come in thru that crack in deep pow right hand turns and rob oxygen from the intake (which does have cracks in it under the hood) and sled bogs. Just SEAL her up, trust me!

Have FUN!
