anyone had a boost engine go down?

When you say “go down”, do you mean gas tank explode, brakes a catch on fire or the primary fly apart? ??

When you get your sled at the end of last season and told not to ride this season. Polaris boost held up pretty good so far???

All gas pumps in the lower 48 have some ethanol in them.

That stuff is like sourdough starter.

Im putting one back together now. Detonation issues. Sled was tuned but with some experimental stuff so its not the sleds fault.

I was just curious if anyone else had seen any issues with the boost platform. It seems to be a tough engine at the power it can make.

We need to embrace ethanol and run cheap high octane fuel. It's not going away.

Just need a flex fuel sensor, and enough ECU horsepower to run the tune required to vary the fueling and ignition tables by ethanol content. Ethanol compatible fuel lines, pumps, and injectors aren't hard to source.

Of course the r&d and computers to run it will require a ton of $, so until a major manufacturer tackles it I don't see it happening.
