the place I ordered mine from has stated that it could be the end of this month or begining of January but that all depends on If BCA gets them sent out.

BCA told me on Christmas Eve that the packs had arrived in Boulder, CO. Now they need to assemble them, which takes quite a while. They are hoping to have them ready to ship to dealers by the 8th, but still no guarantees. But things are looking good. They're getting really close to being ready.

Just got an updated email from snowbigdeal. Customers who ordered before Oct. 16th will get there packs next week, everyone else the end of January. Here's a copy of the email I got from them...still patiently waiting

Dear Float 30 Customer,

We want to provide you with an update of the latest information regarding the BCA Float 30 airbag you have on pre-order with us.

Good News
BCA confirmed today that they have shipped a partial shipment of airbags to us today; therefore, we should receive the airbags on either Friday or Monday and will immediately begin shipping them from our location in Utah to our customers.

Bad News
As I mentioned above, we are only receiving a partial shipment. In November we were informed by BCA that we would be receiving a large number of airbags on our first shipment; unfortunately, there is a very limited quantity of packs available right now and we will only receive a partial shipment (10% of our original order) this week. What does that mean? The only fair way for us to ship the packs is on a first-come, first-serve basis; which means that we will receive enough packs to fill customer orders placed on or before October 16, 2009.
For those who pre-ordered after October 16, you will unfortunately have to wait another couple weeks before we receive enough airbags to fill your order. BCA told us today that they expect to ship our next shipment of airbags to us the week of January 18-22.

Again, I apologize for the delay in getting your pack to you. If you would like a full refund of your deposit, please let us know and you can receive a full refund, no questions asked. If you have a trip planned and don't think you will receive your pack in time for your trip, we have other brands of airbags available and will work with you to get the best price possible on an ABS or SnowPulse Airbag.

We will send another email in the near future with important canister information.

I got a phone call tonight from SBD. I bought the extra canister for $125 - good deal. My ships Monday AM. Should be here by Tuesday - I'm only 165 mi north. Woo-Hoo
I ordered 10/1.

Talked to my skidoo dealer (I90 motorsports) where I ordered the pack, should get mine in a week or two. They're also going to be a refill shop for the packs! That shop has everything now.

I do not have any other information for packs ordered elsewhere.

We definitely ordered enough to have extra packs available. But when we actually receive those packs is a completely different question.

We *should* have extra packs, but the timeframe is unknown. I will post it up when they are available.

Mine arrived this afternoon. It looks like a very quality product, easy directions, good storage for shovel, probe and 30 L of extras. Best insurance I ever bought.

Ok I just got my Float 30 today, and I am very impressed with it. It feels well made, and the zippers have a rubber ring on them to grabbing them with gloves is no problem. It has several small pockets on the belt for a camera or keys ect. Lots of room for storage, and a really comfortable pack. Putting the bottle on was easy. I set it off and scared the dogs so bad I think one of them peed. Hope to post a video of the pack in a few hours. Thanks Snowbigdeal for getting these to us. He was easy to get a hold of for questions, and would not hesitate on doing business with him again. 499 well spent in my opinion.

Thanks everyone for your business. Hopefully we can get packs to everyone else who has pre-ordered very very soon. I am working as hard as I can on it, but BCA has such a limited supply right now it is very difficult.
