Anyone ever fix a snowmobile jacket?

I wore my snowmobile jacket (bought it just last spring) ice fishing last weekend and wasn't paying attention while drilling holes and burned a hole in the jacket. Has anyone ever patched a jacket? Any ideas on where to get the material to patch it? I called a few local tailors and they didn't know where to look.

It's not made out of Gore-Tex, more of a nylon type of fabric. I actually made a hole that is about 4 inches in diameter and let's too much wind through. I don't care if it matches, just something to cut the wind.

Fabric store would have some denier nylon that would work. I'm sure you have a friend that has an old pair of bibs or jacket they were going to thow away, just cut a piece out of them. Open the lining up and stitch it in there, coat it on the inside with some fabric glue, and stitch the lining back together.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? I burned a hole in my Klim jacket, and I think i'll just send it out to have it fixed. So, I bought another one like a month ago, in order to still have a jacket while the first one was in the shop, and did this to the new one...... Try the outfit that built it....
