Anyone else ready for the snow?

You know the snows coming when you gotta start getting all the water toys winterized! :D

I guess maybe i should also finish repairing the ol' steel, so i dont end up with another snapped trailer when we're trying to drive to Summit, but those 10 hour road trips sure are fun!

I wonder if all the gas on the front of the trailer had anything to do with that. hmmmmmmm

Wow welding a little close to those poly fuel(?) drums aren't we? Yikes!!!:D:beer;

The firecat needs the shocks rebuilt, reringed and the carbs cleaned. MXZ just needs the carbs cleaned and the clutch rebuilt and I should be ready to go. Need to winterize the bike and get started on the winter toys.

I'm ready and looking forward to riding with some great new friends this year! :D

Both sleds are sitting there begging for it! Might have to do some grass drags to get through the summer!:face-icon-small-coo

Lets get a trip lined out this year. I will try to meet up someplace. I can always catch the ferry to W. and it's ahop to your end. Or we could go elsewhere. It's hard to leave the land of snow Gods, Oh and my family.:beer;:beer;

We should get the 4m rides lined out again I had a great time last year even though Dash brought the bad weather!! And Dave this time I have a garage big enough to accomidate you sled.:beer;:beer;

Heck yeah man get yur butt over here when the snow flies, or I'll head that way if you get it first! I don't have a big fancy house or shop to put you up in anymore....but you can have the top bunk in my 1 bedroom apartment if that's not too weird!:o

Next time I head your way I'm bringing a backup sled, that sucked driving all the way there to ride 30 minutes!:mad:

Spook ~ just how big of a garage does he need??? I've seen the sled :rolleyes:

Dave ~ ummmm that could get a little weird at some point ~ besides... the riding is going to be down at the cabin where there are lots of bunks :D

Soooooooo Ready!

I've already busted out last years sled vids in the breakroom at work, stood in front of the freezer scraping off the frost just to see snow falling, itemized my gear, added fresh batteries to Avalanche Beacon, SPOT device, and GPS,
organized GPS tracks by date, so I wouldn't try late season routes in the early season like last year (creek crossings, and swamps that have no ice early on and such), greased trailer bearings, laminated maps, embellished last seasons conquests, sourced a new track, replaced sliders, polished throttle cable, changed spark plug fluid...did I leave anything out? :face-icon-small-hap
But, boat still lives in garage until October.

Freezer

Allready tuned up the summit and washed/waxed it. Got the renegade in the garage and tuned it up and gonna spruce up my trailer. That's a great idea about the freezer ice. I wonder how long I would have to scrape to fill my garage with snow?

The trick is....

....to leave the freezer door slightly ajar for the night. You can amlost double your frost output.:face-icon-small-hap
